Set in an elevated spot above the village of Boscastle, this picture-postcard property puts you and your pack in the perfect position to explore sparkling bays, picturesque fishing villages and the rugged shoreline of the beautiful North Cornwall coast.

Stepping inside this former inn through the low doorway, you will find yourself in the porch area, which is perfect for storing coats and shoes, and wiping off dirty paws. Inside, the property’s history is clear to see, with exposed stone walls and wooden beams featuring throughout. A separate snug and living room provides two spaces to sit and relax, which is ideal for younger guests who want their own space, while the spacious kitchen/dining area allows you to come together for a family meal and to plan your next adventure. A steep cottage-style staircase takes you up to the first floor where you will find a separate seating area on the landing, as well as the property’s three bedrooms (super king-size with en-suite shower room, double and twin). There is also a bathroom with shower over bath.

Located at the southern edge of the village, this property puts you just 0.5 miles from the harbour where you will find cafes, bars and restaurants, a local store, and the South West Coast Path, which will lead you to one of the many sandy beaches and sheltered coves dotted along the coast. Further afield, Arthurian legends can be sniffed out at Tintagel, 4 miles west, or you can pad around the popular fishing towns of Port Isaac (12.5 miles) and Padstow (24 miles) with their independent shops, galleries and award-winning restaurants. Alternatively, salty seadogs might prefer to head 12 miles north to Widemouth Bay to play on the golden sand and splash in the crashing Atlantic surf.

Very quirky place to stay, but be sure to duck if your tall! Lots of low beams, low ceilings and doorways. As you can imagine the stone floors have had a lot of footfall since the 1600's so be prepared for uneaven floors. The house was warm and inviting on arrival and Boscastle is charming. The nearest pub is a few feet away which serves tasty foodRead more and has Shantie singers each Tuesday evening Hide

Amazing property with fantastic character and in an excellent location. Really great kitchen. Upstairs twin bedroom felt damp and those mattresses were past their best.

The Old Brig Inn is a charming old cottage with cosy furnishings. The kitchen was really well equipped. The location up the hill of the little and beautiful village of Boscastle was ideal for walking and visiting many touristic highlights of the Cornish north coast. Also Tintagel and wonderful beaches are nearby. Only the park situation in the HighRead more Street was a bit difficult, but we managed to find a space near the cottage every day. All in all we had a great week, thank you! Hide
