Nestled in the heart of the charming harbour village of Charlestown, this traditional cottage offers a romantic retreat for two people and a four-legged friend with access to the South West Coast Path just a short walk away. Step through the door set in thick stone walls to discover a cosy, inviting space with wooden beams overhead and plenty of old-world charm accompanied by modern creature comforts and contemporary finishing touches.

Inside, the open-plan ground floor encompasses the lounge, kitchen and dining area, creating a welcoming, sociable atmosphere. The cosy lounge features a Smart TV and a warming wood burner-effect electric fire. The small but perfectly formed kitchen has everything a holiday chef could need, including an intimate dining table set for two. Climb the steep, open-tread staircase to the first floor, where you'll find the charming double bedroom under the sloping ceiling above. The bedroom comes complete with an en-suite shower room for a refreshing rinse after a day of discovery. Though the cottage has no outside space of its own, step out your door and into the heart of Charlestown, where you can take a stroll to the harbour.

Dating back to the period between 1790 and 1810, Charlestown is a historic port village boasting a rich industrial heritage and has served as a backdrop for various films and TV programs. Though dogs are not allowed on the village beach, a wonderful walk of less than a mile along the spectacular South West Coast Path brings you to the sand and pebble shores of Duporth, where you can freely frolic with Fido year-round. A mile away lies St Austell, Cornwall's largest town, offering an array of shops, restaurants and cafes to explore. The cottage is an ideal base for exploring further afield, with must-visit attractions such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan (6 miles) nearby, where well-behaved hounds on the lead are welcome to join you. Alternatively, head inland and explore the wilds of Bodmin Moor with Rover by your side, which begin 15 miles from home.

A very cosy cottage but if you are over 5ft 5inches tall, it is challenging. Not a cottage if you have a large dog. On a positive note it is situated at an excellent site to experience Charlestown. Superb restaurants, coastal walks.

The cottage is located right opposite a pub, which was a bit noisy around closing time, on the Saturday only, I think there might have been a fight.
