Roadford Lake, just 7.5 miles from the property, is perfect dog-walking territory, with a network of nature trails and footpaths through woodland and across fields.
The single-storey cottage is decorated in a contemporary style, with lots of exposed wood creating a warm and cosy living space. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is very spacious, providing a selection of spots to set up the dog beds. In the evening, snuggle up on the comfy sofa with a good book before retiring to the cosy ground floor bedroom. Outside, there’s an enclosed shared patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ to enjoy al fresco dining. You and the pups are free to stroll around the gorgeous 7 acres of grounds surrounding the property. There’s also a paddock where they can burn off steam.
Lydford Gorge is the perfect place to walk your canine pals on a hot day, thanks to the shade and cooling mist from the waterfall. This mystical river gorge is quite spectacular, boasting a huge array of rare flowers and wildlife. A challenging circular walk takes you past the Whitelady Waterfall and out onto a platform high above the water (keep dogs on leads). Heading in the other direction, discover the coast and quaint villages, such as Boscastle (21 miles away). The romantic village, with its white-washed cottages and narrow streets, is a photographer’s dream. After wandering around the medieval harbour, head high up onto the cliffs for a bracing coastal walk.
