Bring your perfect pup to enjoy the river views and shared gardens of this handsome modern apartment. Ideal for a relaxing getaway with friends or family, it's located in the ancient town of Lostwithiel that's close to the coast and surrounded by fabulous country walks where your hound can stretch his legs and run for miles.

Set over the first and second floors of a beautifully converted former railway building that was designed by Brunel, the apartment is light and bright, and has been decorated with great care and style. Lead your four-pawed friend up the stairs and into the kitchen/diner, where you can pop dog bowls on the floor and start to take in the attractive space, which has masses of cupboards and a large dining table with pretty views. Next door, the bright lounge includes a Smart TV, Sonos Smart speaker and Blu-ray DVD player, plus a selection of games and DVDs - perfect for when you want a relaxing evening at home with some entertainment. Settle your hound in his bed when night falls and you'll find the lovely single bedroom on this floor. The king-size (which includes an en-suite) and triple bedrooms, both with sloping ceilings, are upstairs, along with the family bathroom. As for outside space, bi-fold doors in the lounge lead to a sweet balcony overlooking the River Fowey, an idyllic spot for a morning coffee or a sundowner, and there's also a shared garden space.

Lostwithiel is a pretty town with a choice of places to eat and an abundance of interesting independent shops. Take your canine friend for a stroll in the National Trust's Ethy Woods, starting from the riverside village of Lerryn, 3.5 miles, or in the Lanhydrock Estate, 5 miles. The coast is just 6 miles away for incredible views and lovely beaches.

We enjoyed our time in Lostwithiel which is an excellent location for exploring the Fowey valley and surrounding area. The property is in a good position, especially if you like trains. The apartment was warm and fairly comfortable but a few areas are rather ' tired'. The oven needed cleaning so we abandoned our plans to use it for a meal. There arRead moree some nice cafes and a few antoque shops in the town which we made use of. Hide

We had a wonderful stay, and the location is quiet with no noise from the railway unless the windows are open. Even then not much noise! The place has everything you need, and we self catered for week no problem. Some things are worn and need replacing in the kitchen but overall a super place and would stay again.

Really enjoyable stay. House was clean with plenty of seating and well equipped in general (no dishwasher only down side). Short walk into Lostwithiel and balcony overlooking the river. Pet friendly. It was however a really nice property and we would stay again. Really helpful housekeeper.

I can't say enough good things about this apartment. Communication with Annie was great, immediate responses and so helpful and friendly. Apartment in amazing location. So quiet but close to train and shops. Everything you could want in a holiday home. So sad to leave and will definitely be back.

Lovely house, main bedroom bed is amazingly comfortable, all you need is there just bring your own personal item to use ie shampoo shower/bath gel, soap etc. in an amazing location right by the river, very quiet. Last train is around 11pm and first train was around 7am because the house is next to railway station no impact on the holiday at all. A delightful week in this spacious, well-presented and well-located apartment, parking handy, bins close by. Great TV for Wimbledon. Generally very peaceful riverside setting. Great for trains around Cornwall. Local shops and pubs a short walk in lovely Lostwithiel. The only issue was that the pipes passing through the rear twin room would occasionRead moreally and randomly make a lot of noise even in the middle of the night. Would definitely go back. Hide
