Enjoy a wonderful stay at this historic stone-built cottage in the heart of rural Cornwall – it’s just perfect for a couple or family alongside one or two canine companions. Relax in the bubbling hot tub or in front of the roaring wood burner and bask in the tranquil setting of this gorgeous countryside location.

Full of character and rustic charm, this inviting cottage offers all the modern comforts yet maintains a strong sense of heritage. The open-plan living space is the heart of the home, where exposed wooden beams, thick stone walls and deep-set windows create a cosy space for spending time with loved ones. The wood burner is sure to be a hit with the hounds, as will the patio garden, where they can explore in safety thanks to its fully enclosed borders whilst you relax in the private hot tub. Meal times will be a breeze thanks to the well-equipped kitchen, or choose to dine alfresco and make good use of the BBQ on warm evenings. Upstairs, the character continues with vaulted ceilings and white-washed stone walls throughout. Two inviting bedrooms share a contemporary family bathroom and comprise a stylish double alongside a bunk room that children are sure to adore.

With glorious countryside to roam and spectacular beaches to discover, it’s clear why Cornwall is such a firm favourite for humans and hounds. Lanhydrock is home to one of the most impressive historic houses in Cornwall, and the surrounding estate is a haven for dogs and their walkers. Managed by the National Trust, well-behaved pups are welcome inside the estate’s tea room and cafe, where Rover will find a warm welcome with water bowls and dog biscuits provided. Canine friends will also enjoy accompanying you on a bike ride along the Camel Trail, a level and virtually traffic-free route that begins in Bodmin and follows the course of an old railway line along the picturesque River Camel to Padstow, taking in some of the county’s most beautiful countryside scenery. Head to the coast at Par Sands (8.5 miles) and frolic with Fido year-round on its dog-friendly shores, or strike out along the South West Coast Path for walkies that reveal dramatic cliff-top scenery and plenty of exciting sights, sounds and smells to investigate along the way.

Lovely cottage for an Easter half term getaway. Beautifully designed and felt so relaxed. The welcome gifts from the host were a lovely touch. Beds were really comfy and the hot tub and BBQ were welcome after a long day exploring local Lanhydrock estate and gardens. It wasnt clear to us that the courtyard garden isnt direct access from a door to lRead moreet the dog out or kids play but its close enough to the front door we managed well. The shower set up is a tight squeeze including for the small kids with the shower curtain but for a couple days we got over this and enjoyed the bath tub. Would happily recommend - thank you Hide

An amazing property located centrally in Cornwall. Just the right size for a small family. The hot tub is an added bonus after a long day of traveling around. The welcome pack was very welcomed. It was spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
