Enjoy rural tranquillity in the Scottish Highlands from this welcoming home in Poolewe, which welcomes a group of six humans and two dogs. Soak up the sounds of the nearby river and sweeping views from the generous garden and curl up of an evening in front of the wood burner.

Shake off your walking boots and dog leads in the hallway before heading into the bright and airy kitchen/diner. Whether you fancy a quick bite to eat or plan to cook up something more memorable, this space is well-equipped with everything you need and has great views from the large windows overlooking the garden and river. A handy utility room has laundry facilities and is a great space to store all the dog treats. Once you have refuelled after the day’s activities, get comfortable in the lounge. Let the dogs curl up in front of the warming wood burner and flick on the Smart TV to watch an evening movie. Upstairs, there are three welcoming bedrooms to choose from. The master bedroom contains a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room, and the double bedroom has a Juliet balcony framing the river views. Finally, there is a twin bedroom and a family bathroom. Outside, the enclosed garden wraps around the house and has a picnic bench so you can sip on a morning coffee or enjoy an al fresco dinner. Private parking is provided for two cars.

The quaint village of Poolewe sits on the shores of Loch Ewe and has direct access to many walking routes that wind alongside the water. The botanical Inverewe Garden is 0.5 miles from the property and welcomes dogs along several of its trails. For days on the beach, visit the sheltered shores of Gairloch Beach (6 miles), a popular stop on the North Coast 500, where dogs can run wild and free whatever the time of year.
