Straddling the banks of the River Ouse, the garden is simply breathtaking for a leisurely amble, where you can pad through the gardens, pastures and woodlands scattered with free-roaming chickens and visiting wildlife.

Grab Fido’s lead and set off across the grounds, admiring the views of the neighbouring deer park and accessing a variety of exciting trails to surprise and delight your stick-chasing pal. If you can tear yourself away, Bedford is 6 miles away and enjoys a marvellous riverside setting with a variety of independent shops, restaurants and cafes to visit. My wife and I recently enjoyed a relaxing week at the Rose Cottage, located in a peaceful rural setting nr Turvey. The quaint Rose Cottage was lovely and quiet, and had everything we needed for our stay. Proprietors Ian and Julie were friendly and helpful - thank you. Warm, cosy and quiet 18C cottage fully renovated to a high standard. Set in extensive grounds with excellent walks straight from the front door, we really enjoyed our holiday at Rose Cottage. Quarter of a mile up a track from the A428 which gave good access in either direction. Good pubs in the local village of Turvey with Bedford 5 miles down the Read moreroad.
