It's perfect for keen walkers, offering access to a multitude of footpaths that weave through the rolling Sussex countryside – many of which lead to quaint, doggie-friendly village pubs. With space for six guests over its three bedrooms, this beautifully presented property is great for a family or a group of friends, with one canine guest welcome.

You’ll have ample space to relax in this homely abode, starting with the light-filled kitchen-diner. There’s a lovely conservatory complete with wicker furniture – ideal for reading, sipping tea or reminiscing about the day’s adventures. The well-equipped kitchen has everything needed for creating yummy meals, while the wooden dining table sets you up for sociable family meals. In the separate lounge, watch films on the Smart TV or get stuck into some lively board games with your pet stretched out on the carpet nearby. A pretty bay window and an exposed brick fireplace further enhance this room. Outside, the fully enclosed garden offers various seating areas for sunbathing, a table and chairs for al fresco dining and a charcoal BBQ for sizzling up a doggie-tantalising feast.

It’s a 1.5-mile stroll down to Winchelsea where you’ll find a dog-friendly pub and a shingle beach (some dog restrictions in summer). Nature enthusiasts can explore the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve (4 miles), while Rye itself (3 miles) is worth exploring, with its independent shops and restaurants – be sure to get a snap of you and your pet on its famous cobbled Mermaid Street. At Camber Sands (6 miles) you’ll have an unspoilt 7-mile stretch of sandy beach and dunes, with only one section a dog-free zone during summer.

Winchelsea is a very pretty and convenient small town and this cottage is ideally located to explore the walks around the town. Rye and Camber sands are a short drive away and are well worth visiting

We had a great week here. A lovely house that has everything you need. As we were here around Christmas time we didnt use the garden but it will be an asset in warmer months. Close to Rye which is a wonderful town to visit, as is the whole area.

A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage is clean and well equipped and has a lovely garden which I wish we had been able to make more use of. The weather was cold - ground frost in early September and a few rain showers. But we still had a lovely holiday walking in the Winchelsea area, visiting Rye and Camber Sands
