Ideally situated on the south-eastern edge of the Cotswolds, this welcoming property is perfect for a couple with a dog who are looking for a quiet spot in beautiful surroundings. This former dairy barn has been thoughtfully converted to provide cosy accommodation and is ideal whether you’re discovering the Cotswolds, exploring the banks of the nearby River Thames with the dog, or visiting the historic city of Oxford (25.5 miles) and the spa town of Cheltenham (30.5 miles).

Set in the grounds of a working farm, this light and comfortable single-level property, which retains its exposed beams and stone floors, features a bright and inviting open-plan lounge/diner where you can relax, snuggle up and watch a movie or read a book. There’s a stylish kitchen which is perfect for preparing a romantic meal for two. The double bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and wall-to-ceiling windows overlooking the courtyard. Outside, you will have full access to the enclosed courtyard where you can sit back and enjoy the sun.

Lechlade-on-Thames is a small historic town ideal for exploring the Cotswolds and the North Wessex Downs (16 miles). There are numerous local walks to enjoy, including the Thames Path, the Thames and Severn Way and the D’Arcy Dalton Way. Dogs are welcome to join you at the Cotswold Water Park (16.5 miles) or explore the ancient site of Uffington Castle with its famous White Horse (14 miles). Other places of interest, all of which welcome dogs, include Wayland’s Smithy (14.5 miles), and Badbury Hill (7 miles), Cirencester Amphitheatre (16 miles) and the Buscot and Coleshill Estates (6 miles). Fairford, home of the famous RAF show, is also nearby (5.5 miles). Nearby towns and villages, with plenty of dog-friendly pubs and cafes, include Bibury (9 miles), Stow-on-the-Wold (18 miles) and Tetbury (25 miles). The bustling town of Swindon is also easily accessible (13.5 miles).

The is a very spacious cottage in a quiet location but close to loads of walks across fields, along the Thames and into town. It has everything you could need including a super comfy bed, patio area and a large shower cubicle. This was our second visit to The Old Dairy and it was just as good second time around. A very comfortable holiday cottage. Lovely and warm with the underfloor heating, which was much needed with the cold weather. Well equipped for self catering. Great location, very peaceful and access to good local amenities.

Super cottage in a terrific location. Lovely hosts, helpful and informative but not intrusive. Area great for walking locally especially with the dog, nature reserve on the doorstep ideal for spotting wildlife. Wonderful, hosts, fantastic property, amazing location. We were very grateful for the welcome pack including the hosts own hens eggs. Our puppy (Ralfy) had a great time in such a dog friendly area and my husband was able to eat out in lots of places who catered for a gluten free diet. We particularly liked Lechlade but had many enjoyable walks arouRead morend local villages and along the river. Cirencester was a perfect day out for us. Lovely cottage, very spacious comfortable and immaculately clean. Everything you need for a peaceful & relaxed getaway. A comfortable, spacious and stylish conversion bringing a new lease of life to a redundant farm building. Convenient situation for places of interest, though the weather was so sizzling during our stay that we didnt stray far from Lechlades riverside. We appreciated the eggs and wine, thanks.

Great spot for exploring the Cotswolds. Prefect if you have dogs with a dog-safe courtyard. Barn is large bright and spacious or two. Nicely kitted out with everything you need.

A beautiful and spacious well equipped cottage in a great location - good fields for the dogs to run in about 1/4 mile away and useful local circular paths. Very good pubs/food within a short drive and easy access to other parts of the Cotswolds. Thoroughly recommended!

The converted dairy is very spacious, warm and comfortable. Ideal for 2 plus furry friend! The garden is mainly pebbled with a raised patio area. It's very dog secure. It's a 15 minute flat walk into the centre of the village with pubs and restaurants but down a quiet farm track. The bed was comfy and the kitchen well equipped for self catering. We had a lovely visit with our two dogs and the cottage was very comfortable. The bed was excellent and very nice soft sheets. The hosts even left us some wine and fresh eggs. Highly recommend - we would definitely book this property again.

Great cottage, even a car charging socket. Very comfortable. Lovely secure front parking area come garden, can't fault anything. Close to town, went to the lakeside for walk with the dog, lovely pub on the river and we had sun as well. So quiet at night, makes a change from Coventry so slept really well.
