If you’ve got a wet nose, a waggy tail and an impressive fur coat, we reckon this traditional cottage near the North Norfolk coast is the perfect holiday location for you. If you’re the lucky owner of such a pet, read on to discover why! This cosy property, in the heart of stunning countryside and just 8 miles from an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is certainly a home away from home. It’s just right for a couple or small family and one doggie guest.

The house is charmingly decorated in a warm, farmhouse style, with a lounge complete with comfy sofas and a wood burner to keep everyone warm on chilly evenings. After a leisurely meal in the airy dining area, watch TV as a family while Fido doses happily at your feet. In the garden, have breakfast in the fresh air on milder mornings while your pup plays with his squeaky bone on the lawn – this area is enclosed so he’ll be perfectly safe even if you’re not keeping an eye on him.

From Syderstone, you don’t need a car to access beautiful trails for long or short walks through the Norfolk countryside. If the sea air calls, pop to Wells-next-the-Sea (9.5 miles) or Holkham Bay (13.5 miles) and take your four-pawed pal on a long, energetic walk through the sand dunes. For a fun day out, head to Holt (19.5 miles) then continue your journey to the traditional seaside town of Sheringham on a steam train. Here, wander down the high street then tuck into a bag of vinegary chips while Fido digs up stones in the sand.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double bedroom, 1 bunk bedroom (suitable for children not for adults)
  • 2 bathrooms - 1 en-suite bathroom with bath and WC, 1 en-suite shower room with walk-in shower and WC
  • Electric oven with electric hob, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher,  fridge with ice compartment and Nespresso coffee machine
  • Smart TV in lounge
  • Wood burner with one basket of logs supplied
  • On street parking, along the verge, opposite the cottage
  • Enclosed garden with garden furniture and summer house for bicycle storage
  • Travel cot and highchair available on request.
  • 1 small dog welcome – to be kept downstairs only
  • Please note there are some low ceilings and doorways and the cottage has steep cottage-style stairs
  • Shop 3 miles, Pub 4.5 miles, beach 12 miles
  • This property will be decorated for Christmas
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00
  • 1 dog allowed. Additional charges may apply

Lovely little cottage with sun room at bottom of garden which was perfect for end of day cuppa/wine and a good book. Well equipped for our needs Location perfect for exploring beaches and lots of walks, Syderstone common worth exploring. Be aware that the stairs, as mentioned, are steep and steps very narrow even for size 3 feet

We had a lovely stay in this homely cottage which is well located for visiting the attractions and beaches of North Norfolk. We enjoyed sitting in the summer house watching the sunset over the cottage. Syderstone is a quiet village but there is a handy local shop, and Stores, a few minutes drive away on the A148.
