Explore rural and coastal Norfolk with your faithful friend by your side from this delightful cottage in the quiet village of Trunch. Head to the beach at Mundesley, 2 miles away, where you can watch your pal play on the sand or frolic in the shallows. Alternatively, choose to follow a section of a nearby long-distance route, such as the Norfolk Coast Path or the Paston Way. Your charming two-bedroom, brick and flint cottage which sleeps four and faces the medieval church, offers a warm welcome home after long days out discovering this picturesque corner of the country.

Enter the traditional cottage from the side to find yourself in the homely lounge. Let Fido stretch out and relax by the electric coal-effect fire while you settle on the sofa to watch TV. Prepare hearty meals in the kitchen to enjoy in the dining room, where there is also a handy washing machine. Open the doors here onto the enclosed garden on warm days to let Rex out into the fresh air. Your family bathroom is at ground-floor level and there are two cosy bedrooms upstairs. Sun yourselves out on the patio in the summer; light the BBQ and play with your furry pal on the large lawn, which is up five steps.

Walk to the beach at Mundesley, where your chum can run free on the section accessed via the walkways leading down from the cliffs. Make the trip into a 6-mile circular walk by returning home along the Cromer Ridge via Gimingham. Walk the 8-mile section of the Norfolk Coast Path from Mundesley to Cromer and take your pal for a stroll along Cromer Pier, where he is welcome to join you for refreshments in the Pavilion Bar, which offers fresh bowls of water.

Church Cottage is set in a very pretty village opposite the church. The cottage was welcoming and had everything you needed. We were a couple on our own, I think we would have found it a bit of a squeeze if there had been four of us. Very pleasant garden with plenty of space for children to play and place to sit and enjoy the peaceful surrondings.Read more The kitchen was small but was equipped well and had a modern efficient hob. The door at the front was very useful for loading and unloading the vehicle instead of having to go round the side everytime. The heavy internal fire doors were a bit difficult to deal with sometimes in the smallish areas. Altogether would recommend this property as a pleasant escape from the rat race. Hide

Great location for visiting Mundesley and Cormier beaches. The garden is lovely if the weather is nice. The bathroom is a challenge for kids bath times given its size and layout. Wouldnt hurt to have a better clean but overall we enjoyed our stay.

We've stayed at Church Cottage several years running and find it very comfortable and cosy. The beautiful back garden is a real attraction and the view of the church from the front window is lovely.

This was the first time we've hired a cottage and we're hooked! The cottage was a perfect size for us, in a good location and very clean. All the local people were friendly and helpful We were only going to the Crown Inn pub opposite the cottage on the first night, but ended up eating there five nights about of the seven. We'd happily stay there agRead moreain. Hide

Small interior with too many sprung fire doors. Based on our experience, not very dog friendly at all. Wouldn't recommend.

A nice quiet location with local pub yards away. A lovely large garden to sit out in and for dogs to explore. However as every internal door is a sprung fire door you need to be careful with dogs and makes it awkward for taking food and drinks through them.

The cottage is settled in a quiet little village with a local pub (didn't seem to be open during our short stay). Two comfy bedrooms, plenty of seating in the living room and garden. Very nice small cottage in Trunch which is a good location for reaching North East Norfolk and the Broads. Cottage is clean and well equipped with a surprisingly large garden and sunny courtyard . We would recommend it for a couple or family of four.
