Wake up to the smell of sea air, at this fabulous beach-side property. As well as accommodating five guests, the property also welcomes one four-legged visitor. Before breakfast, take a stroll through the garden and onto the sand and shingle beach where the woofer will be in their element with all the new things to sniff and explore. You’ll be perfectly positioned to investigate the quaint seaside town of Whitstable, 3 miles away, and the popular resort of Margate, 20 miles away, as well as some fantastic English Heritage sites, such as Richborough Roman Fort and Amphitheatre (25 miles).

The waterside views from this former boathouse create a feeling of calm and tranquillity. The monochrome interior is contemporary and stylish, and there are some fabulous quirky features, such as the wooden ladder to the family bedroom. Hard floors run throughout the ground floor, making it easy to clean up sandy pawprints. From the lounge, enjoy panoramic seaside views and on a warm day, throw open the patio doors and allow the dog to potter in and out of the enclosed garden.

As well as the gorgeous beach, which welcomes dogs all year, Seasalter also has a popular dog-friendly pub, great for nights when you get back late and don’t fancy cooking. Whitstable is also packed with pooch-friendly eateries, as well as some lovely independent shops and galleries. On a sunny afternoon, pack a picnic and head to Richborough Roman Fort and Amphitheatre. This important English Heritage site is steeped in history and the dog will love having a good old sniff around the extensive grounds (just remember to keep them on a lead). Another great day out is the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway (30 miles). Dogs can join you for free on the fascinating miniature steam locomotives.

The road is right on the front doorstep and is very noisy, but the back garden is perfect for the dog to run around in. She loved it! The upstairs is not designed for tall people (or even medium height) but is quirky and fun. The downstairs (or down-ladder) bedroom is a single bed, so think carefully if you have any more than one person with mobiliRead morety issues. Oyster Beds is a great fun, comfy and well appointed break away from home and I would definitely return there in the future. Hide

Absolutely beautiful location, daily walks along the beach. The property was clean, tidy and well equipped. Just be aware that the stairs to the loft bedroom are a ladder style, not suitable for young children and people with mobility issues. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

We were extremely disappointed with the state of the garden and garden furniture,. The picture on the website is nothing like. We were extremely disappointed that the fridge did not work. We enjoyed staying in this cottage next to sea. We had a brilliant view. Our kids loved to sleep in a bed with a direct sea-view. It is a quiet neighborhood.

Outlook at the rear of the property gorgeous . We had lovely weather so it was a shame the rear space was very neglected, tall weeds ,rusty furniture, wooden table and bench left bits of old varnish on clothes.

This chalet style cottage is in a superb position. The back gate opens onto the pebbly beach and there are uninterrupted views out to sea. Enclosed back garden with rough grass and hardstanding. The ladder access to the bedroom is extremely precarious and completely unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility. The road at the front is noisy. Wonderful to just walk out of garden onto quiet beach. Unfortunately linen poor quality and so were pillows. Downstairs mattress awful! Noisy road at the front. Shame no welcome pack, gives a good impression. Make sure you bring everything you need for a tea or coffee!!

Really disappointed with our stay. Had booked for 2 nights and left after 1 night as the noise from the road kept us awake most night. Dog mess in the garden and poo bags left from previous guests . Lovely , clean , modern holiday home right on the beach with huge outdoor seating area Half the week rained as expected for October but the 2nd half was glorious sunshine so I was in the garden every day , used the sun bed and the chiminea but not the BBQ on this occasion STUNNING view , quiet beach ( which we LOVE rather than the crowded ''well knRead moreown'' beaches ) and to see huge bees and a butterfly fly past in late October was amazing! We just love being next to the water so this was ideal for us. Even though it was a bit of a grey October, we were warm and cosy, and being able to take the dog straight out onto the beach morning and night made his stay too!
