Enter the cute cottage into the hallway, where you’ll find space to leave your sandy boots and dog-walking gear. From here, head into the light and bright lounge/diner. This space is decorated in a contemporary style, with colourful artwork adorning the walls and beautiful wooden floorboards running throughout. After a long dog walk, stretch out on the large, comfortable sofa to watch the Smart TV or come together around the dining table for evenings of great food and laughter. On a summer’s evening, throw open the patio doors to the garden, so Rover can potter in and out. Upstairs, you’ll find the two relaxing bedrooms – a king-size and a twin – both of which have lovely views over the river. Outside, there’s a patio with outdoor furniture and steps leading down to a lawn where the hound can burn off steam.
The town of Rye is incredibly dog friendly, with many of its eateries and shops welcoming four-pawed visitors. Wander along the cobbled streets, admiring the medieval architecture, before popping into one of the cute artisan shops to pick up some delicious local produce for your dinner. Explore 1066 Country with a visit to the battle abbey and battlefields (14.5 miles), where you and your four-pawed sidekick can soak up the history at the site of one of England’s most famous battles.
