Two guests and a beloved four-pawed pal can enjoy spending quality time together in this fabulous coastal cottage. Situated in the Meads Village area of Eastbourne, just 1.5 miles from Eastbourne town centre, a stay here offers yourself and your pup a quiet and peaceful atmosphere in which to relax. The property is just a tennis ball’s throw from the beach and the South West Coast Path, an unbeatable route featuring enough epic dog walks to fill your entire getaway. Spend time exploring on two feet or four paws, always looking forward to coming home and relaxing in your fisherman’s cottage at each day's end.

The bijou cottage is traditionally appointed with stylish accents and original features, including a handsome ornamental fireplace in the bedroom.  Next to the lounge sits a kitchen complete with everything you need to prepare human and canine dinners and access to the rear courtyard. The courtyard is entirely enclosed, so feel free to step out with your morning coffee whilst your pup stretches its legs. Back inside, take a curled staircase up to the first floor to find a bedroom and a bathroom. The bathroom features a bath in which you can soak any aching muscles after long days of lobbing tennis balls.

Take the short walk into town via the seafront, admiring the hordes of people sunbathing and swimming from the pebbled shores. An extremely canine-compatible holiday destination, you’ll find Eastbourne and Holywell beaches dog-friendly year-round and plenty of pubs in the town will welcome your pup with a warm smile. Nearby, visit the marvellous location of Beachy Head (2 miles), the UK’s highest chalk cliff and part of the majestic South Downs National Park.

Badly in need of decoration, new furniture and major overhaul. Backs onto large pub garden, very noisy in good weather, in the evening the air conditioning of the pub makes quite a loud noise too. A disappointing stay. Only good thing was the location. Near to Promenade which takes you to Eastbourne, Holywell beach and South Downs.

Cottage was lovely, I booked it for my son who was visiting from South Carolina. He was very happy to stay there, and was very comfortable.I live in Meads, and was looking forward to seeing inside cottage. I was really impressed. Lovely location, close to shops, seafront and short walk into Eastbourne town. Very comfortable cottage.

We liked the cottage but found the stairs difficult but that was due to us as we are both over 80 and I am prone to falls, so this property was not ideal but there were stunning views nearby. We would recommend this property providing cleanliness issues were sorted out.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Cosy and comfortable cottage, nice surroundings. We loved the Meads area with the local shops and markets. We went to the South Downs National Park almost every day, it is very closeby and ideal for walking with our dog. We loved the parks near the beach front. Saw many animals. Eastbourne itself was not really our cuRead morep of tea but that was fine. Overall we are happy visitors (from Holland) and would recommend this sweet cottage. Hide

south downs cottage was comfortable and in a perfect village location of meads at the foot of the south downs way. Eastbourne centre was accessible by bus or a lovely walk. The ship pub at the end of the street was dog friendly and food was excellent should you not want to cook after a busy day.

This cottage was cute & beautifully decorated with some lovely seaside touches. Location was excellent & in walking distance to the lovely beach. A good base but quite basic all round really. Cottage backs on to a pub but apart form Saturday night, all quite quiet. parking space can be tricky even with a permit.

Cosy cottage, perfectly situated in very pretty streets. Everything we needed to hand - we ate both in the cottage and in local places. We walked directly onto the Downs and by the sea into Eastbourne. Great local facilities - food shops, pubs, lovely parks, a friendly Chinese restaurant and great cafe for breakfast, Jen's kitchen. We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was small but cosy and had a nice feel about it. The location was superb, by the seafront, the downs and a good selection of local shops and eating places.
