We enjoyed our stay with 2 dogs, the garden is large for big dogs with the added woods joining on. The kitchen is well equipped, lovey shower. Entrance by those stairs could be very difficult for people with disabilities. Lovely 7 nights away from London

A beautiful, comfortable and warm cottage set in the most peaceful location with a lovely garden. A fantastic patio area too for the Summer months! The only negatives were the unlit and uneven steps down off the main road and the one small parking space which made it hard to pack/unpack, then get everything into the cottage. We did try using the alRead moreternative pathway as advertised but were advised that this was not a "right of way" into the Cottage; this land is owned by the neighbours. Hide

Lovely little cottage.. Being able to bring our dogs makes it even better. We would love to come back again in the summer so we can make use of all the lovely facilities in the garden. The steep steps are a challenge but because everything else was so lovely it was worth the extra workout. Parking space is too tight for my big car but again a minorRead more issue as we found space in a road nearby. Would recommend the cottage to anyone wanting a quiet getaway thats close to everything you will need. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay in Gardner's cottage. The garden is huge and a sun trap down at the bottom. It was a great base for exploring St Leonard's, Hastings, Rye, Battle and all the other historic sites around. We 'bumped' into the Pirate Festival weekend in Hastings - surreal but very entertaining. The cottage had everything you could need but Read moreI was a bit surprised about the lack of a washing machine. Personally I'd prefer that over a dish washer if space is tight. Great stay though! A fantastic cottage for kids, dogs and parents alike. Tucked in a secluded spot with a secure garden and direct access to some woodland paths. Very comfortable cottage. We loved St Leonards on Sea - bottle alley has good local funds. Perfect location for walks, beaches and history.

Lovely cozy well equipped cottage with a large garden which our dog loved. We enjoyed just relaxing in the cottage which was very peaceful and exploring St Leonards and Hastings Old Town. Access is down steep stairs which we did find hard work when unpacking and repacking the car.
