Alternatively, you can simply soak up the calming, watery views from the comfort of your cottage. The village itself has a welcoming feel, with a butcher and farm shop for picking up supplies (1.5 miles). The surrounding area is rich in places to explore, such as climbing Tinto Hill (5 miles) for panoramic views across the Clyde Valley or heading to the charming town of Biggar (6 miles), to explore its independent shops, eateries, galleries and museums. Nature lovers will also enjoy days out at Dawyck Botanic Garden, the Falls of Clyde, and New Lanark, all within 16 miles.
Step inside and you’re welcomed by a handy entrance hall, ideal for storing coats and boots after a day outdoors. The heart of the home is the spacious open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, where a large picture window frames uninterrupted views of the river and rolling countryside beyond.
