This beautiful property, situated 4.5 miles from Tay Forest Park, is a perfect retreat for a small family or two couples – and the loyal canine, of course! Sleeping four across two bedrooms, this converted steading is a peaceful haven away from busy life. Located less than 2 miles from the River Tay, there are plenty of opportunities for fishing and the owner even has access to two Upper Tay beats. Whatever you decide to do, the house is an ideal base to come back to after a long day.

The property, which has exposed stone throughout, is cosy and comfortable. The open-plan living area is fresh and bright with wood vaulted ceilings and a contemporary breakfast bar opposite the kitchen, while the dining table is ideal to gather around. The fantastic billiard room is perfect for keeping guests entertained during the day or after dinner. In the evening, snuggle up on the sofa in front of the fire with your pup on your lap. Each bedroom has a wood burner for chilly evenings; snooze in tranquillity before waking up and heading to the patio for an al fresco coffee.

Pop to the gardens at Castle Menzies (3 miles) for a quick morning walk, or head into Aberfeldy (4 miles) for a hearty pub lunch or to peruse the shops. Further afield, Faskally Forest (20 miles) is an enchanting place to take children and dogs and will be a hit with all ages. Blair Castle (26 miles) welcomes dogs in the grounds, so whether you want to stay near or venture far there are plenty of things to do with your four-legged friend.

Great cottage. Lovely location with great views. Family of 4 with a 17 and 21 yr old. August stay. The use of the snooker/pool table made our evenings fly by. Loved our stay. Garden not enclosed so our dog kept on his lead outside the cottage. Good location for trips out and walks. Visited Birk falls, Pitlochry, Glamis, Blair Athol castle nice visiRead moret to Killin for Dochart falls and great nature walk at Edramucky. Not serious walkers/hikers and although the walks were steep/uneven we loved it. Hide
