Surrounded by rolling hills, this quaint whitewashed cottage close to Loch More is the ideal destination for friends, including four-legged ones, seeking a remote retreat for a relaxing break in the North West Highlands. Spend the days walking the stunning landscape with your canine companion at your side, ramble along the banks of the loch and enjoy a doggy paddle from the shore. The loch is a paradise for anglers and a boat and rods are included in your stay.

Enjoying a tranquil location far from the distractions of daily life, your cosy single-storey bungalow has a warm and welcoming feel with comfortable furniture and bright soft furnishings. After a day of fishing on Loch More, rustle up a hearty meal in the sunny kitchen/dining room to share around the dining room table enjoying the wonderful views. In the evenings, rest your paws in the homely lounge, where you can unwind on one of the squishy chairs while your hound stretches out in front of the woodburner. When it’s time for bed, there are two bedrooms, two twin tooms which can be made up as king-size doubles, one with ensuite shower room, decorated in calming shades for you to drift off to sleep. Your cottage is surrounded by an enclosed shingle garden with plenty of space for your pup to stretch their legs.

Stroll to lovely Loch More less than half a mile away for a spot of fishing or a wander along the shoreline spotting the range of wildlife that visits the waterside. Put your best paw forward on a hike up Ben Stack (9 miles) for excellent views across the Highlands. Further afield, the pretty crofting village of Scourie (19 miles) is well worth a visit. The cottage is wonderfully functional and clean, without feeling particularly 'homely', but it works for a weeks holiday. If you're thinking of fishing be aware that this can only be 'fly fishing.

We have just come back from our holiday and the cottage is beautiful presented throughout and has got be the most tranquil place I have ever stayed at. We have stayed all over in the highlands but the location and scenery of kinloch cottage is amazing and will definitely be back in the near future .If you want a proper escape from the hustle and buRead morestle this is the place for you its a credit to the owners as its set right in the middle of reay estate near Ben arkle and Ben stack mountains with plenty of walks around the local area plus its within 10 miles of the nc500 so ideal if you want to go and explore we did it over 2 very long days but it was doable if you still want to have a few days at the cottage to relax Hide

A really cozy little house, wonderfully located, well equipped. We loved the boat. It is very remote - you have to plan your meals carefully since the next supermarket is 25 m/ 40 km away
