Located in Achnasheen, right on the famous North Coast 500 route, this traditional, tranquil lodge offers wonderful views out to Loch a Chroisg. Sleeping eight people over five bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, it’s the perfect hideaway for large families or groups of friends who want to experience the untamed beauty of the Highlands with their pups by their side. You’ll adore the waterside views, and your faithful friends will love stretching out by the wood burner each evening.
There’s no better way to start the day than to take your pups for a stroll along the river below the cottage. Afterwards, rustle up some breakfast in the country-style kitchen, and dine with your nearest and dearest around the informal breakfast table. After a day exploring Scotland’s magical landscapes, host a dinner party in the formal dining room, which boasts fabulous woodland views. Alternatively, head out to the garden and dine alfresco – your pups can run free in the enclosed space while you eat. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of something fizzy and gather in the living room. This wonderful space boasts a lovely stone feature wall, a wood burner and a beautiful feature window overlooking the river. At the end of the day, there are three bedrooms on the ground-floor and two bedrooms on the first-floor (one of which has a slightly smaller than full size single bed) to choose from.
This property practically sits on the banks of Loch a Chroisg, so there’s no shortage of walks for you and your pups to enjoy. Or, if you want to stretch your legs, go on a 2.5-mile hike to Fionn Bheinn. Towards the top, the hike follows the rim of Toll Mor, which often holds snow well into the summer. At the summit you’ll be rewarded with great views to the Fannaich Munros.
