Property code: OC-90304

The property boasts a peaceful location in The Highlands, just 6 miles from Tain. Spend your days exploring the Easter Ross peninsula or soaking up the sun on one of the white, sandy beaches. The accommodation is split between a lodge which sleeps ten and a two-bed cottage, making it ideal for multi-generation get-togethers, as well as holidays with friends. An enclosed garden is shared by both properties and has a large lawn where the pups can play.

The contemporary holiday home is set within the grounds of a family farm and a door links the lodge with the cottage. The lodge’s entrance hall has ample space for dog-walking gear, as well as a handy utility room. From here, head into the lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can gather around the island or chill out on the sofas, whilst the woofers doze by the wood burner. Completing the space is a picnic-style dining table to seat everyone. From here, a door leads into the cottage which has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a vaulted ceiling and roaring wood burner. Combined, the properties have seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, four of which are en-suite shower rooms. Between the lodge and the cottage is an enclosed, south-facing garden, with two patio areas and a BBQ.

Tain, the oldest royal burgh in Scotland, is steeped in history. Take a dog walk around the town to marvel at the spectacular architecture, before popping into the pup-friendly pub for lunch. There are some fascinating walks in and around the Easter Ross peninsula, including the Seaboard Sculpture Trail, which you can join in Balintore (2 miles). If you fancy a day at the seaside, head to dog-friendly Dornoch, which has a vast expanse of soft sand, and calm, shallow waters for bathing.

The house was ideal for our purpose (13 adults in our walking group of friends). It was extremely well equipped, immaculate and very welcoming. The patio is a sun trap, which we were lucky enough to benefit from. The house is in an ideal area to use as a base or to chill out. Fiona the owner was friendly and the fresh flowers and welcome hamper wasRead more a lovely thought and much appreciated. We could not fault this property. Hide

The mill end and wee house were very comfortable and in a beautiful setting. Perfect for the dog as the garden was enclosed. All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend

We rented out the lodge and wee house for a long weekend birthday celebration and we couldn't have been happier with the venue. There was plenty of communal space for all 12 of us and the back garden area was particularly useful for keeping the kids and dogs entertained. We would 100% recommend the house and the host was great to communicate with uRead mores in the days leading up to, and throughout, our stay. Thanks! Hide
