Your cheeky pup will jump for joy once they catch a whiff of this beautiful converted byre close to the pretty village of Ceres and St Andrews. Sleeping up to six guests and two dogs, there’s plenty to do nearby with breath-taking coastal paths and sandy beaches within easy reach.

‘Sir Barks-a-lot’ may well bound through the hallway and into a light and spacious lounge with TV and a warming log burner. On the ground floor you’ll find a gorgeous king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom; a second bedroom with twin beds and en-suite shower and WC; and a separate stylish shower room with shower and WC. There’s even a handy utility room with washer/dryer should you need to remove muddy paw prints from your clothes. The kitchen includes a lovely Aga oven as well as all the essentials to whip up a culinary storm. Dig into your dinner in the dining room area and remember to bring a bowl of treats for your four-pawed pal. Heading upstairs from the kitchen is a quirky mezzanine floor with a second lounge, wood burner and large balcony boasting wonderful countryside views, plus a WC and a beautiful master king-size bedroom too. On quieter days, retreat into the sunroom on the ground floor and let your mind wander as you gaze out into the big garden, where there is a seating area perfect for al fresco evenings under the stars.

Let your little rascal get his jimmy chews dirty with an idyllic walk around Cameron Reservoir, less than 5 miles away. The charming village of Ceres is 2 miles away and home to the Fife Folk Museum, independent shops and a pub and hotel serving delicious food. The world-famous seaside town of St. Andrews is 6 miles from your doorstep.

Superb cottage in a wonderful location for visiting St Andrews, Crail, Elie, Anstruther and rest of Fife coastal villages. Lovely enclosed garden which was perfect if you have a pet dog. Geoff, the owner, was the nicest man. I would highly recommend this cottage for a holiday break.

The cottage was lovely, and the garden was ideal for our dogs. Geoff was very helpful, and our stay was excellent. It is really well placed for the coastal villages and only 15 min drive from St.Andrews. It was warm, spacious, and well-appointed. Despite the dreary February weather, we had a really enjoyable stay at Bruntshiels. The property was extremely well equipped and it provided spacious and comfortable accommodation for 6 adults and two dogs. We really enjoyed the cosy feel of the property, particularly in the kitchen with the gorgeous AGA. The location is great for exploring the NE Read morepart of Fife, and although we were here in off-season, we found plenty to do. Would highly recommend this property and hope to return! Hide

Fabulous property - so comfortable, plenty of room and well positioned for visiting Fife and Edinburgh. St Andrews is a very vibrant town with the golf courses and facilities a must for golfers. Loved the Steak barn at Balgove, The Niblick for Sunday roast and Crail tea rooms for afternoon tea. We had a fantastic stay at Bruntsheil Byre this past weekend. The property was very spacious and could easily accommodate 3 couples. The owner was there to meet us when we arrived. Everything you could need is there you just need to remember toiletries in the way of shampoo/shower gel. Everything else is provided for you. We would highly recommend Read moreit. 5 stars has everything you need large kitchen including an old Arga to cook on and keeps the cottage nice and warm. Clean tidy and open spaced and plenty of room and upstairs auditorium to sit in at night and see the stars and lights across the hills and valleys

Fabulous property set in a lovely part of the world with all the amenities you could wish for. Ideally located to explore the area - St Andrews is a must as well as the likes of Tentsmuir Forest & Beach plus the seafront walk from Broughty Ferry to Monifieth. Highly recommend.

A delightful and comfortable property off the beaten track (literally) but just a few mins drive from Ceres and 10 mins from Cupar and St Andrews. Perfectly located to explore Fife. We had a lovely multi-generational holiday at Bruntshiels Byre. The property is very well located for days out to villages and beaches the coast and hosted by friendly yet discreet owners. The layout of the property suited us very well with bedroom suites downstairs, suitable for elderly less mobile members of the family, and quiet space upstairs fRead moreor more able family members. Beautiful place, the setting is spectacular and the safe enclosed garden is a perfect place for children and dogs. Feels like you are in the peace and quiet of nowhere however within a few miles you can be in St Andrews or local villages. Excellent beaches. Try the fish bar at anstruther for fish and chips, Jeanettas in St Andrews for icecream and Read morethe chainwalk at Elie beach (more of a climb than a walk and not for the faint hearted!). Hide
