Get back to nature at this hillside escape with views of Lock Eck and the mountains of Beinn Mhor. Spend your days walking woodland trails, and your evenings staring at the stars while sitting in the hot tub or on the decking after a quick trip to the pub down the road and a few minutes in the sauna. The lodge comfortably sleeps four, and with a double and a twin, it’s great for a family or friends and their canine companion.

This one-storey lodge is bright and contemporary with space to relax, cook and eat together in the open-plan living area. It sits on the hillside among woodland just up from the loch with incredible views from inside and the decking. If you get home cold and wet after a fun day out, you can relax in the spa-style bath, and heat up in the sauna which is in the double bedroom or the hot tub outside.

You and your pup certainly won’t run out of things to do with stunning walks along the loch and up into the hills. Wander along the loch, where red squirrels forage on its shores, or take to the water on a canoe or kayak. The local inn is just 300 metres away on the shore of the loch for a drink or dinner in front of the wood burner with your furry friend. Why not head to Glenbranter, which has lots of different trails, from short walks to all-day bike rides, including the waterfall trail, a 2-mile route to view the waterfalls above Glenbranter where you might spot red squirrels, roe deer, buzzards, woodpeckers or crossbills. Your dog will also love Ardentinny on Loch Long – it has the longest sandy beach on the Cowal Peninsula and a network of woodland trails for you both to explore.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double and 1 twin

This cottage is in a superb location with beautiful views, plenty of birds and good access to nearby trails and the loch. The hot tub is very nice and the cottage has nearly everything you need. We look forward to coming again and enjoying the peace and quiet, as well as the starry night sky.

The lodge is ideally sited just off Loch Eck, it's peaceful tranquil and am sure there is some sort of healing there. Have never felt so relaxed and rejuvenated as much before, we had a week holiday only wish I'd booked 2 weeks. Scotland is beautiful loved it

A cottage with a great view, situated high up at the edge of a small cluster of lodges. The kitchen and bathroom are good, the crockery, pots and pans could use a bit of an update. A great starting place to get to know the area, great walks and the Coylet Inn is a great place to eat.

The lodge was in a fantastic location with beautiful views however the beds were not fit for purpose at all. Mattress topper looked very old and didn't fit the bed either. The actual mattress dipped significantly in the middle so much so my husband had to sleep in the living room.

Great location. Lots of places to see around and wonderful nature in the area. The Argyll Lodge is at the top of the hill with an amazing view at your doorstep and from the hot tub as well. The lodge is comfy and cosy, with all equipment and devices requried for a short stay. I would definitely recommend and I would come back with no hesitation!

Great location for walks and yakating on Loch Eck. Lovely lodge with great views of surrounding hills and Loch. 15 min drive to Dunoon and 30 to Inveraray. Closest Restaurant/Bar is Coylet Inn just 3 miles south on route to Dunoon, nice placeto eat. Enjoyed relaxing in hottub in the evening and great little sauna in main bedroom.
