Great cottage overlooking River Nith. Very dog friendly with a variety of walks nearby. Centre of Sanquhar is a short walk away with local small shops, food takeaways and pubs/hotels. The cottage has all you need to cater for yourself and is comfortable if the weather traps you inside as it did on one day of our stay. A good base for exploring theRead more south west of Scotland. We absolutely loved the cottage. The location is perfect. Loved watching the wildlife. The cottage was warm & welcoming. The shower is fantastic. It was good having the hotel on site for a meal and drink. Anna & Paulo are excellent hosts. Lexie, our Old English Sheepdog was very much at home there. We will be back.

Relaxing and peaceful week spent with our two dogs. Plenty of interesting walks nearby. The view of the river from the lodge is amazing, we could never tire of it and is what made our holiday so memorable.

The cottage for us was perfect. Hubby wanted to fly fish. Access to river very easy from cottage. He also wanted to play golf and five minute walk was the golf course. Train station 10 minute walk. Perfect location. Comfortable bed. Amazing shower. Down side. The cleaning needs to be improved. The crows, absolute racket in the trees by the side of Read morecottage. Hide
