Wake up to the sights and sounds of nature whilst staying at this luxurious converted barn, nestled within acres of picturesque farmland in Angus Glen. Perfectly located at the foot of Glenisla, you have easy access to miles of unspoilt countryside, grand castles and majestic waterfalls along with nearby towns and villages with excellent amenities. Perfect for small families and up to two four-legged friends, guests here are invited to explore the on-site ‘Courtyard’ where you’ll find shopping, crafts and a coffee shop offering delicious lunches, snacks and drinks.

The property itself is a recently converted 17th-century barn that has been finished to a very high standard. Set across a single level there are no tricky stairs to contend with, making this a good option for anyone with limited mobility. The bright, light open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room features huge glass doors at one end, that bring the outdoors in and offer views towards the countryside beyond. The modern kitchen units have been painted in muted hues that perfectly complement the rustic homely feel in this room. Two good-sized comfortable bedrooms provide a tranquil place to rest weary heads after a busy day of adventuring.

The Angus Glens are a series of tranquil valleys enjoying some of the most majestic landscapes in Scotland. The town of Kirriemuir is known as the gateway to the glens and is perhaps best known as the birthplace of Sir JM Barrie. In addition, there is a good selection of shops, cafes and coffee shops in this busy little town. The drama of Reekie Linn waterfall can be found just 7 miles from the property and rewards intrepid explorers (both two- and four-legged) with an incredible sight.

The accommodation was perfect for us four adults, even though we couldn't use everything. We often shopped at the on-site shop. The distance to grocery stores was fine, as we went on trips to the surrounding area almost every day anyway. Both Edinburgh and Loch Ness were easily accessible from here. A fantastic place to stay. The onsite cafe and nature trail were visited daily. The staff and owners were extremely friendly. The property was lovely and the kitchen was well equipped for self catering. 5 mins down the road beautiful waterfalls and a swimming spot. Hope to stay again in the future.

We had this cottage and the one beside it booked for a combined family of 11. Both cottages had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of space in the kitchen/dining/living areas. Good sized bedrooms and storage, comfortable beds. Bathrooms were clean. Would highly recommend.

We had the most amazing week at Duckings rest - everything was perfect and the family that run Peels Farm are so friendly and approachable. If nothing else make sure you get some of the home made bread and scones - 100% next level
