A beautifully presented sandstone cottage located in the rural village of Edenhall. This romantic bolthole is the perfect escape for couples exploring the Cumbrian countryside with four-legged friends. Hike through the rolling mountain landscape of the Lake District National Park, then open a bottle and soak in a peaceful sunset from the courtyard with a tired-out hound curled at your feet.

This charming countryside property boasts a crisp and elegant interior with vibrant soft furnishings. Kick off mud-caked boots at the door and step down into the open plan kitchen/lounge/diner where you can warm chilly toes and paws by the electric fire and sink onto the comfortable sofa. Fill the belly of your hungry pup and whip up some well-deserved pre-dinner nibbles in the kitchen, or perch at the breakfast bar with a drink while the resident chef gets to work. Hideaway in the stylish snug for some tufty-pawed cuddles and scope out the perfect corner for a plush dog bed. Retreat to the adaptable super-king room styled with sunny splashes of yellow then cosy in for a film on the Smart TV. Indulge in a continental breakfast in bed before being hounded out for morning walkies. There is also a sleek bathroom with a heated towel rail and a light-up mirror. We could not have found a better" home " and I do mean home to stay in for our first break with our two cockapoo pups. We could have left everything at home as the facilities were fantastic. A fabulous place and one we will return to very shortly.

The cottage was equipped with everything you could possibly need and finished to such a high standard. We would definitely return as it is well positioned, close enough to the motorway but in a lovely friendly village, great for walking and visiting the local towns and villages. We had a lovely relaxing break, very pleased with our choice.
