Further north, you'll find Brodick Castle and Country Park (10.5 miles) which boasts pretty gardens with views of the mountain of Goat Fell, while to the south, Kildonan Beach (4 miles) is home to what's known as the ‘Silver Sands' and is ideal for walking the dogs before heading to a pup-friendly pub.
