Discover novelist Walter Scott’s favourite spot at Scott’s View (5 miles) or journey with your canine pal to Melrose Abbey (8 miles) and admire its 13th-century architecture.

Wonderful- location, house, hot tub. All was amazing and worked so well for our family. Loved the long table in the dining room and the aga. The house was so cosy in spite of the very low temperatures. The scenery was brilliant and sunsets incredible.

Absolutely wonderful holiday house. So much space and everything you need and more for self-catering. Stunning views. We loved the hot tub, the open fire and the Aga. The bedrooms are very tastefully furnished and the ensuites huge! Cant recommend it highly enough.

The farmhouse was lovely and very comfortable. Log fire soon heated up the lounge. We were very appreciative of the thoughtful items left - sourdough bread, delicious gingerbread cake, etc. The views from the hot tub were fabulous. We had a lovely visit to Kelso where there was a Christmas Market on in a hotel. We also visited the shop at Floors CaRead morestle which was lovely and everything was a very good price. We had a really good long weekend with the family at Whitehouse for a special birthday celebration with a private chef.. The property was warm, welcoming, well equipped and spacious - plenty of room for 11 and two dogs. The children could let off steam and the adults could always find a quiet room ! We couldnt have asked for a better house to stay in for our golfing holiday, would highly recommend this house for any golfing parties, at least 9 courses within 30 minutes drive, we will definitely be returning in the future, the hot tub was perfect to ease aching bodies after golfing. All round brilliant holiday.

We stayed here and used it as a base to walk St Cuthberts Way . The owner ensured we had all we needed. There were welcome gifts for us including a home made cake . The beds were very comfortable with good quality bedding . Plenty of hot water too . We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after walking all day .

It is a beautiful big farm house. It is full of original features and very tastefully decorated. We had a great time with something for the everyone. This was a fabulous place to stay for the 14 of us aged 71 to 3..., lovely spacious public rooms, large ensuite bedrooms, large homely well equipped kitchen, great aga, open fire, hot tub, great scenery, lovely walks, super host...what more could one want from a holiday.

Lovely stay at Whitehouse over Christmas. Everything we needed was supplied to make it as hassle free as possible. The host was only a call away if we needed anything. The house fitted our party of 11 with plenty of space for everyone. Would recommend staying at Whitehouse.

I can't recommend Whitehouse Country House enough - it's a gorgeous escape to the countryside that is spacious yet cosy and has the most incredible views. With kind and hospitable hosts and a fantastic location, this was the ideal break for our group. We had such a wonderful time and would definitely host another event here in the future!
