Up to eight guests and two distinguished canines can stay in this magical Scottish castle which has a hot tub and a games room. While staying in the east wing of this 12th-century castle, you can host dinner parties in the open-plan living area, enjoy movie nights by the fire or relax in the spacious garden. You'll be located in the heart of the Scottish Borders, which has distilleries, nature reserves, and quaint rural villages nearby.

Enter the cottage to find a welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with country-style decor, wooden furnishings and tones of green throughout. An antler chandelier hangs above the long wooden dining table which is surrounded by an 'L'-shaped kitchen with wooden countertops. On the other side of the room is a lounge area with a leather sofa and an armchair plus a Smart TV above the wood burner. Continue into the neutral-toned, airy snug to relax on the armchairs or head into the games room with its exposed 12th-century stone walls, darts and a pool table. Choose from two sets of stairs to reach the first floor – one is made from stone and spirals up the turret. On this level are three double bedrooms and one king-size, each containing Smart TVs. Completing the interior is a family bathroom with a roll-top bath and a shower room. Outside, you'll find an enclosed garden with a summer house, hot tub and BBQ. There is private off-road parking for four cars.

During your stay, you’ll be just 3 miles from Harwick town where you can dine out or browse the shops. Set tails wagging with a day out in Whitelee Moor National Nature Reserve (21 miles) in the Northumberland National Park or visit Wilton Lodge Park (2.5 miles). Overall, a really lovely stay at the cottage. Large family with a 5 year old but plenty to keep us occupied. Really cosy feeling throughout and feels private even with a Spa next door. Hot tub and games room particularly popular. Great location just outside of Hawick (a lovely historic town), but also within 2 hours of Edinburgh and Stirling - of wRead morehich we visited both. Located off the A7 which must be the prettiest stretch of road I've ever driven. Hide

This was a very charming property, well situated for a secluded break. Clean, and well equipped. The owners were responsive to a small issue we had which was resolved quickly. Lots of historical places of interest within 30 minutes drive.

Lovely comfortable accommodation decorated to a high standard. Private garden is big with plenty of outdoor seating. Hot tub is a bonus. Plenty of areas to explore in the surrounding area of Hawick, Melrose, forest walks and slightly beyond - if you fancy a day at the Lake District.

We had the most amazing stay! The cottage was immaculate, Carol was contactable for anything. Wine and chocs on arrival were also a lovely touch. Modern appliances in the kitchen. Bathrooms were so clean I thought they had been freshly painted! Honestly have never stayed anywhere as clean, cosy and beautiful as this!
