This was the best located cottage we have ever stayed in and loved the villages quiet location and fabulous views. It was just so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting outside on the table and chairs, in the vegetable patch in the evenings. So tranquil. The cottage was excellent value for money and perfect for a short stay. Such a central location, could geRead moret out and about very easily. Hosts were very friendly and pleasant and the wine on arrival very much appreciated. Stairs were very steep but we were made very aware of this in advance and knew what to expect so not a problem. We loved our stay. Hide

Lovely area and village with walks right from the door. Kirby Stephen has everything you need about 4 miles away. Basic small cottage showing some signs of wear and tear, comfortable for two people and a good base to explore the area.

Fresh air, peace and quiet was the order of the day and thats what I got. The cottage was set in beautiful surroundings with footpaths readily available for me and my two dogs and a cosy log burner to come back to. I would highly recommend the Wash House.
