Host a group getaway with up to five other guests and two canine companions in this cosy, two-storey wooden lodge set in the scenic Scottish Highlands. With the outdoor capital of the UK just 3.5 miles away, Fort William, this property is perfect for an active break. Spend your evenings entertaining your loved ones in the open-plan living space with views across the balcony and garden to three of Britain’s highest peaks.
As you enter the property, you’ll notice the welcoming atmosphere created by tall ceilings, wooden panelling and tones of blue throughout the soft furnishings in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The ‘U’-shaped kitchen with neutral-toned cabinets and dark countertops has a peninsula with a breakfast bar. Adjacent is a dining table for six guests which looks out through the double-height window. On the other side of the room is a comfortable lounge area with an ‘L’-shaped sofa, armchairs and a wood burner. Climb the stairs to reach a mezzanine level snug offering additional seating. Also on this floor is a king-size bedroom and a family bathroom. Back down on the ground floor is a shower room plus two bedrooms – a king-size and a twin. Outside, you’ll find a spacious garden with a patio, furniture and a BBQ. There is also private parking for two cars.
While based in the village of Torlundy, start your holiday with a dog walk along the River Lochy to the 13th-century ruins of Old Inverlochy Castle (2.5 miles). Across the river is the village of Caol (3 miles), which is home to a handful of shops and pubs. Just 4 miles away is the town of Fort William where you can browse the outdoor gear shops before venturing into the Grampian Mountains (5.5 miles) for hiking, climbing and mountain biking.
