Retreat to the Scottish countryside with six friends and two canine companions and enjoy sniffing out adventures through the beautiful surroundings. Featuring an enclosed patio garden and warm summerhouse, this is the perfect place for your dog-friendly holiday.

Inside, you will be immediately greeted by a large hallway, where you can store coats, walking boots, and your dogs’ leads. Head through to the kitchen, which has everything you need for cooking up delicious meals and refuelling after busy days exploring. The sunroom doubles up as a dining room, a great spot for enjoying meals together. A handy utility room has extra storage space and laundry facilities. Let sleeping dogs lie in the cosy lounge as you flick on the TV or play a game together. Completing the ground floor is a stylish family bathroom with shower over the bath, and a super-king-size bedroom which has a Smart TV, and a seating area. Upstairs, a second lounge is great for when you can’t agree on what to watch, or for those seeking some solitude. Adjacent are two further bedrooms, a king-size and a twin bedroom, as well as a contemporary shower room. Outside, a fully enclosed patio has a BBQ and garden furniture, as well as a summer house with seating. Off-road parking is available for three cars.

The pretty town of Pitlochry has lots of independent shops and dog-friendly pubs and eateries. The area is well known for the Pitlochry Dam (0.5 miles) which is home to a fish ladder, designed to help salmon travel upstream. Surrounding the town are several walking routes leading through stunning woodlands. Faskally Forest and Tay Forest Park are both within 1.5 miles providing panoramic views.

The cottage was exceptional. It is a fantastic location to all local attractions. The property has been finished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean. Excellent off, safe free off street parking. This is a hidden gem, I will definitely book again. The host was extremely helpful, even offered a free early check in. We stayed at The Nook for one night ahead of a cycling event in Pitlochry and it was absolutely ideal for our group of six. The cottage was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and get organised before the event. We parked three cars outside with no issues, and the outdoor space was especially usefuRead morel for bikes and equipment. The location was perfect within easy walking distance of the town centre. Communication from the owner was excellent and everything was straightforward from arrival to departure. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend The Nook to anyone visiting Pitlochry.
