More of a 3* If I owned this property with a view to letting the first thing I would do is tidy up outside. Cobwebs and dirt all around both doorways and door mats as well as windows. Mow the lawn and tidy up garden area. A lick of paint and some TLC to the outside of the property would make it more welcoming. The patio table and chairs were fiRead morelthy, so I didnt sit outside. Chair cushions, also disgusting, were thrown in the corner on some logs with a sun parasol that had also seen better days. Inside: I know the property is aged, but just about every single window frame and sill had cobwebs and needed a good wipe down. Behind the lounge door was disgusting. I wiped the dining table 3 times before I felt comfortable enough to sit and eat there. I dripped some water on the kitchen floor so wiped it with some kitchen roll, and it was filthy. The shower in the main bedroom is quite dangerous. Very slippery. A handrail would be a good idea. I slipped a couple of times and thereafter felt unsafe. The main bathroom upstairs has a shower attachment. An idea would be to fix it to the wall, and add a shower screen. Kneeling down in the bath to try and shower is really only something you would expect a child to do. Lots of cobwebs throughout the upstairs. The downstairs bedroom is extremely small. Nowhere/no room to open a small cabin case. The shower room has a sink small enough to just wash your hands. Nowhere to put toothpaste, toiletries etc. The toilet is in the hallway, so if you need to get up in the night its out of the bedroom, through utility, through kitchen, into hallway. We would not return. Hide

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at The Well House, Tirley. The house was lovely, well appointed, homely and comfortable. We found the flooded roads a challenge but navigating them added to our adventure. Lovely walks for our dogs.

We had the most lovely weekend stay in this beautiful and well equipped house. The lovely touch of a homemade cake and fresh milk was very appreciated. The children loved looking round the farm and seeing the new calves.

The house is very comfortable and really well equipped. We had a great Xmas break at the Well House with family, plus dogs. The garden/parking area is secure so there is no issues with the dogs being out and running around. Beautiful cottage, perfect countryside getaway. Lots of space for all of us including dogs. Boot room absolutely essential after wet dog walks! Great walks around the farm, without need to get in the car. Also lots of nice walks further afield.

This cottage is truly beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped. It's spacious, and as a family of 5 adults and 4 dogs, we had everything we needed, and once the outside gates are closed, the dogs could roam freely.
