For a truly romantic break with your loved one and dog, stay at this beautiful 17th-century cottage in the Cotswolds. It’s in Whichford, famous for its pottery, and within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) bursting with beautiful walking trails for you to explore with Buster. Spend your days exploring chocolate-box villages, rolling hills and pretty woodlands, followed by cosy evenings in with your two favourite people: your spouse and your beloved pet.

Beautifully decorated, this luxury holiday home is full of lovely original features – an exposed stone wall downstairs, wooden beams in your bedroom and of course the thatched roof. In the stylish open-plan living area, light the wood burner and sink into the spacious sofa with a novel while Buster nestles at your feet. The farmhouse-style kitchen, with its apron sink and tasteful wooden worktops, is fabulous for cooking up meals that can be enjoyed together at the table with some red wine. Outside, there’s an enclosed garden with plenty of room for Buster to run around in as well as furniture for the humans to use. Feel like indulging in a long, hot bath in your bedroom while your partner and pet lounge lazily on the king-size bed a few metres away?

When it’s time to leave your love nest, there’s lots to discover in the nearby area, with Whichford the starting point for several walks in the Cotswolds AONB. Shipston-on-Stour (7 miles) is a lovely market town where you can browse in independent shops before popping into a café for tea and cake. To lap up a bit of literary history, head to Stratford-upon-Avon (18 miles) where William Shakespeare was born. Ghost tours, towpath walks and dog-friendly pubs are all options for activities your pointy-eared pal can enjoy with you.

A wonderful week at Vicky's gorgeous thatched cottage. Was blown away with how beautifully maintained and decorated this cottage is. I had a very comfortable stay with everything you could possibly need. Felt like I was in a fairytale. Thank you!
