This contemporary cottage is designed for seaside life. With light-filled rooms overlooking the River Fowey and the South West Coast Path trailing over the hillside beyond, your dogs will have the holiday of their lives.

Enter the cottage and you’ll be met immediately by riverside views. This reverse-living design begins with a handy bathroom and boot room; go on to discover the bedrooms up on the first floor - a light and romantic double and a bunk bedroom ideal for children. Continue up to the best views in the house on the second floor. The lounge is bright and cosy - snuggle up on the sofas, watch TV, or simply dream beside the window as the boats sail by. The kitchen is a well-equipped space perfect for making family meals and a cute dining table sits beside the window and folds away for extra space.

Outside the property, your seaside adventure begins right away. Stroll mere metres to the quayside, where you can do some boat-spotting. Take the passenger ferry across the river to Fowey, a sweet quayside town full of Cornish coastal history and hospitable dog-friendly pubs and cafes. Take your vacationing canines to the beach at Readymoney Cove, 5 miles from the cottage, a sandy beach sheltered by cliffs and surrounded by the medieval monuments of the old town and St. Catherine’s Castle. Further afield, take the dogs to the Outdoor Gardens of the Eden Project, an innovative eco-adventure 17 miles away.

This was our 3rd stay at Daisy Cottage, and really felt like 'home from home'. We love the river views from the lounge and the hillside garden views from the kitchen. Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom. Polruan is wonderful, amazing views, quaint lanes and cottages, busy river, woodland walks, sea views, nearby beaches, fascinating ship yard, two shoRead moreps, cafe, pubs, and post office. But it is very steep and lots of steps everywhere. So much to explore nearby, on foot, by boat, bus or car. Hide

A comfortable, cosy and charming cottage in the heart of Polruan. The view from the living room is spectacular and the property had everything we needed for a couple and our dog.

On 3 levels, the lounge on the top floor has got the most amazing views across the harbour and bay, to Fowey. Especially as the sun goes down. All you need to cook with in the kitchen, bed nice and comfortable, and well appointed bathroom on the ground floor. Great location, comfy cottage. Grubby on arrival with unusable kitchen equipment. This was quickly rectified although it spoiled the start of our holiday.

We stayed here with our 2 grandchildren and 2 spaniels , Lovely place to stay view from living room was fantastic, the pubs , bakery , cafe and shop are all within 50m from cottage , as is the ferry to fowey , as with all cottages in these areas parking is a issue , but there are 2 places to park one on the left as you come into the village at the Read moretop of the hill (always had spaces) which is 10 a week cheaper than the one overlooking the harbour , Hide

I booked Daisy Cottage again for this visit as I loved it the first time I stayed here. It's well equipped, great location close to the harbour, and great value for money. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and I'm sure I'l be back.

Lovely place to stay, in a comfortable property. Wonderful views and hilltop walks, with a short ferry ride across the harbour/river to Fowey. If you have the space in your car take a folding camping trolley for unloading and loading from the car park but you can get down on the quay, although the lanes are very narrow. Go enjoy.
