The kitchen areas are well-equipped and modern. The ground floor of the first cottage has two double bedrooms, and the second cottage one double. Both cottages have ground floor bathrooms for making any post-walk clean-ups a breeze. One cottage sports a quirky set of stairs up to a double bed on a mezzanine overlooking the living area below. Go out of the French doors to the terrace and large garden – ideal for the kids and dogs (who may get acquainted with the friendly resident dogs). The garden area is enclosed from the farm but there is a pond near the main house to keep in mind for any curious canines.
In the grounds of the 12th-century Clattercote Priory, surrounded by horse paddocks, the property is pure rural idyll. The village of Clattercote nearby is the centre of the historic-cultural triangle of Oxford, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon – all within 30 miles. For local entertainment, Banbury is roughly 6 miles away and features an array of shops, pubs and restaurants. Spiceball Country Park will give four-footed family members yet more running space. We don’t want to hound you, but yet more family-friendly options are Blenheim Palace (24 miles away), famously Winston Churchill’s birthplace, the parkland surrounding which is beautiful, open and utterly dog friendly.
