Set on a working smallholding in the heart of Warkworth, this delightful stone cottage is the perfect base for couples and families to find plenty of ball-throwing opportunities along the beautiful Northumberland coastline.
At the end of a long walk, hang up the leash and lead the way into the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner to tame the growl of hungry stomachs by refuelling with some tasty local treats. Head into the cosy lounge to unwind weary walking muscles whilst your playful pup dozes beside the roaring wood burner; ceiling beams and exposed brickwork add a touch of warmth and charm. The en-suite super-king-size bedroom on this level beckons tired travellers and features an electric-powered raising and lowering bed (2 single mattresses raise and lower separately) for extra comfort. On the first floor, you'll find a stylish twin bedroom with a gorgeous window seat, whilst the second floor encompasses a second cosy lounge with lovely views. Outside, little paws will have a ball exploring the enclosed patio whilst you roast marshmallows over the fire pit. There is private parking for one car.
The village of Warkworth offers some of the loveliest river scenery in the county; your canine companion will go mutts for a long walk alongside the River Coquet. Take the lead to explore the stunning grounds of the mighty Warkworth Castle, 2 miles away, a magnificent fortress crowning the hilltop above the River Coquet, with your playful pup in tow. Located between the Birling Carrs and Amble Breakwater, the gloriously golden Warkworth Beach, 2.5 miles away, is the perfect spot for your pup to practise the doggy paddle and get their paws sandy. Head to nearby Amble, 3 miles away, to sniff out some fresh seafood.
