Sitting in the heart of the pretty village of Ayton, this spacious period house provides everything you need for a romantic and relaxing getaway in the Scottish Borders. Sleeping four people over two bedrooms and welcoming two four-legged friends, it’s a great accommodation option for two couples or a small family who want to enjoy their precious leisure time with their pups by their side. And with an enclosed garden for your dogs to explore and a roaring wood burner for them to stretch out in front of, you can rest assured that tails will be wagging.

Step inside this wonderful period house and you’ll be met by a spacious open-plan kitchen/diner. Cook up a romantic feast in the stylish bespoke kitchen area and dine with your loved ones in the intimate dining area, which features a beautiful stone fireplace and lovely views over the front garden. Or, if the weather is nice, dine alfresco in the front garden as your pups enjoy pottering around the enclosed space. After dinner, head up to the first floor where you can enjoy a game of pool or cosy up with a movie in front of the roaring wood burner in the spacious lounge area. At the end of the evening, retire to one of two stylish bedrooms on this floor for a glorious night’s rest.

The lovely Eyemouth Beach (2.9 miles) is totally dog-friendly, so feel free to let your pups explore - keep your eyes peeled for the seals that like to play in the bay. Pups are also welcome to walk around the ramparts at Berwick Castle (12.5 miles), which surround the whole town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. There are also plenty of pet-friendly pubs in the town to enjoy a pint in with your pups after your walk.

Very comfortable cottage. An excellent base to explore the surrounding area. The cottage was very well equipped and the 'welcome basket' the most generous and thoughtful we have ever seen!!

Lovely immaculate cottage in a beautiful village with lots of great walks. The owners have thought of everything for families including their very generous welcome pack of goodies. The pool table was a great bonus too.

We had a lovely week in Saw Mill cottage. The accommodation has everything you could ever wish for, and we were able to prepare meals as if at home. Really nice touches and very much appreciated the welcome Hamper. A very clean, cottage with comfy beds and sofas plus a great selection of games etc. It really is a home from home.

One of the best holiday cottages we've stayed at. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable with plenty of room for 4 adults and our dog. Biz had thought of everything you could possibly need and then some. Loved having the pool table and the basket of goodies was much appreciated. Perfect location for visiting the Scottish borders or Northumberland plus Read moresome lovely walks in the village too. This cottage is very well positioned and you can park outside. Was a shame there is no pub in walking distance. The cattage was comfy, exceptionally clean. spacious and wants for absolutely nothing. Everything has been thought of. Even catered for our dog with towels bowels etc. would definitely stay again.

Amazing, beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Everything you can imagine in a holiday home and more! The welcome hamper was the best ever with lots of lovely treats. The cottage was very well catered for. There were things we brought just in case but didnt need to! We had a fabulous warm welcome from Biz and lots of great tips for seeing the area and dog walks. We loved the place! We are a couple with two young boys and having the pool table was a great focal point for them when we wanted to rest. Best appointed cottage we've stayed in with attention to detail e.g. hot water bottles, water bottle by bed, electric clothes dryer. Nothing was too much bother and hosts were so helpful and welcoming. Quiet village setting with a quirky pub. Great base for exploring surrounding areas with good walks etc. Loved the pool table!
