Really comfortable and cosy cottage. Perfect for those with dogs with a large enclosed garden and lovely walks all around. Beautifully put together and Sally made us feel really welcome and full of suggestions for the stay.

As other reviewers have said, the Stone Byre is very well presented, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Sally, the owner, goes the extra mile even before you arrive. She not only provides detailed directions to the Byre, but also emails a wealth of comprehensive information about places to eat and to visit, things to do, and local amenities. She bRead moreasically does the homework, so you dont have to. She is very friendly and helpful, even warning us of local road works and providing alternative routes. Nothing was too much trouble. We chose the Byre because it is all on one level and has increased accessibility, essential for my wife who is a wheelchair user. She found it easy to get into and out of the property through the wide double doors, and inside is open plan. Another factor in our choice was the electric vehicle charging point, a lot cheaper than public chargers and so much more convenient. The Byre is ideally located being on the boundaries of three counties and therefore in easy reach of a range of places to visit, so that even those with reduced mobility will still find plenty to do and see. In short, we wouldnt hesitate to recommend the Stone Byre and it is easy to see why there are so many repeat visitors, amongst whom we can number ourselves as we have just booked the Byre again for next year. We had a very enjoyable week in the Stone Byre. It is well equipped and spotlessly clean. It is now our favourite Holiday Cottages property and we have stayed in many over a number of years. We are looking forward to returning later this year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Stone Byre. We have used Holiday Cottages for many years. This was the most enjoyable property that we have stayed at. It was very well maintained and spotlessly clean. We were so impressed that we have already booked a return visit.
