Sniff out adventures with five of your human loved ones and two canine companions on the superb Cornish coastline. Stay at this characterful cottage in the village of St Columb Minor, on the outskirts of Newquay where you will be close to the beach, South West Coast Path and some of the area’s most popular attractions.
This traditional cottage features exposed beams, stonework and high ceilings, creating a warm welcome. It provides plenty of space where you can socialise together, or take some time out relaxing. Let sleeping dogs lie and get cosy in front of the lounge’s open fire while you watch movies, listen to music, or play games as a group. The practical country-style kitchen has everything you need, with French doors that lead outside to the rear garden. Head upstairs to the bedrooms, a twin, a single, and a king-size with en-suite – there is also a handy separate shower room. The back garden is fully enclosed and has a patio area with garden furniture and BBQ, spend evenings cooking and dining alfresco while the dogs safely explore. There’s also a handy outside shower to keep all paws and feet clean.
Just 50 metres away is a wonderful dog-friendly pub that serves up some great grub, and there are walking routes available from the front door of the cottage. Directly opposite is a trail that leads through the valley towards Watergate Bay (2 miles), where you can run wild and free all year round. Lusty Glaze Beach (1 mile) is also dog friendly and a great spot for surfing. The centre of Newquay is less than 1 mile away, where you will find independent shops, pubs, and restaurants. For great days, visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan or the Eden Project, both 16 miles away.
