Escape to the Lincolnshire coast in this unique, pet-friendly holiday home. The former windmill offers accommodation for four humans and two hounds in the charming village of Wrangle, and boasts far-reaching views and an array of quirky features. Several walking trails branch away from the village and you’ll also be within easy reach of the England Coast Path and The Lincolnshire Wolds.
The converted four-storey windmill is bursting with personality, with original beams and brickwork sitting alongside an eclectic mix of furniture and accessories. Steps lead to the front door and into the bright and inviting kitchen, with a tiled floor, high ceiling, and everything needed for a self-catering getaway. From here, head through to the characterful lounge/diner to share mealtimes together at the upcycled table, before sinking into the sofa – with the pups curled at your feet – to watch the Smart TV. A family bathroom rounds off this level. Steep stairs take you to the first-floor double bedroom, where the views are incredible, and a further flight of stairs leads to the second double bedroom. Occupying the third floor is a cosy reading nook, and at the top of the windmill is a viewing area with panoramic vistas. Outside, the hounds can potter around in the enclosed garden whilst you soak in the bubbling hot tub. Private parking is available for two cars.
The vibrant market town of Boston is 11 miles away and is full of history and heritage to explore. The town also has a great selection of paw-friendly eateries, many serving delicious, locally grown produce. Just outside the town is the wildlife haven of RSPB Frampton Marsh – the perfect place for a peaceful (on lead) dog walk after a spot of retail therapy. Other nearby doggy days out include the National Trust’s Gunby Estate (11 miles) and the traditional seaside resort of Skegness (13 miles).
