Just a couple of miles from the centre of the bustling town of Redruth, this delightful cottage makes a fantastic base for families and friends seeking a relaxing holiday home. With the dog-friendly beach of Basset’s Cove 3 miles away, the property is a great getaway for six human and two four-legged guests. Offering miles of breathtaking rural and coastal walks, this charming retreat is ideal for discovering the sandy beaches, picturesque coves and glorious countryside of the north coast of Cornwall.

A beautiful stained-glass front door leads you into the cottage and into the relaxing lounge which features a Smart TV and welcoming wood burner. The dining room makes a lovely space for everyone to get together, and there’s a stylishly arranged kitchen with a wide choice of useful equipment. Heading upstairs, you will find the first two bedrooms: a cosy bunk bedroom ideal for children, and a cheerful super-king-size room with a Smart TV. There’s also a double bedroom with countryside views, along with a refreshing family bathroom. Going outside, the enclosed garden has a lawn offering space for dogs to run about, and a friendly terrace with outdoor seating and a BBQ, providing a lovely spot for dining alfresco.

The sparkling seaside village of Portreath is just 2.5 miles away, with a narrow harbour, welcoming pubs and a sandy beach where dogs are allowed between September and June. Dogs are welcome throughout the year at Basset’s Cove, Trevaunance Cove and Fishing Cove, all within 8 miles. The South West Coast Path passes close by, and there are miles of gorgeous walks inland to enjoy with your four-legged companions. The beautiful Tehidy Country Park is just 3 miles to the west, or you can head 4 miles north to explore the gorgeous St Agnes Heritage Coast.

The cottage is well located in the lovely village of Illogen to explore Cornwall. The cottage has a lovely homely feeling and is well laid out. The owners made contact prior and towards the end of our holiday and if there had been any issues, which there wasn't we would have been able to let them know.

This property is very comfortable. The bed is very comfortable, which is great. It was nice to receive a welcome pack too. For our stay it was in a good location for the places we wanted to visit.

The cottage was lovely. From the moment we opened the front door, we were very pleased with the furnishings and facilities throughout. Everything was super clean, & of good quality. The kitchen equipment was everything that we could need. The welcome pack was very welcome, because it meant that we did not need to immediately go to the shops. IllogaRead moren is a very quiet village, but has a small Morrison supermarket for essential provisions. It has easy access to the A30 for going further afield. Hide

The cottage is located well for exploring all round Cornwall. It is very well equipped for your stay and clean and tidy. The layout is good with a good sized garden to the rear and off road parking on the front garden

We had a fantastic time at Wild Rose Cottage. The cottage was spotless when we got there. I had, had messages from Rose the owner before getting to the cottage. Rose and her family have thought of everything. There was a lovely welcome basket waiting for my family and my dog. This is such a great touch that make you feel special. The cupboard had aRead morell the equipment you could need. Special touches like condiments are at the cottage so no need to bring extra items. There were 5 star hotel towels . Hide

Yet another great stay at Wild Rose Cottage. This ticks all the boxes for a great stay in Cornwall - central location, off road parking, lots of amenities nearby, clean and spacious. Really feels like our second home.

Lovely cottage in an area that we have not been to before, located within a five minute drive from the now finished A30 nightmare, and ideally situated for exploring deepest darkest Corwall. Communication with Rose was excellent and very accommodating. We would highly recommend this property!!!

I highly recommend this cottage. The owners supply pretty much anything you need for a special holiday. The cottage has a beautiful garden, with area for catching up after a long day with a cold glass of wine. The location is second to none, with the A30 within 5 mins drive.

Lovely cottage and very friendly owner. Authentic Cornish village location. Handy Morrisons at the end of the road. Clean and comfortable cottage with some modern features eg extra charging ports for devices (kids appreciated!) Local fish and chip shop really nice (expect a queue). Dog walking - seasonal dog ban on Portreath beach for a couple of mRead moreonths of the year 10-6 but half hour drive to Fistral Beach. Would recommend. Highly recommend Globe Vale holiday park for food - delicious. Hide

We loved staying in the cottage, it is beautifully decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. The garden is great, attractive and very secure for my small dogs, we enjoyed sitting out there on warmer evenings. The shower is excellent, the bed was huge and very comfortable.
