Follow your four-legged friends into the heart of this stunning accommodation: an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This wonderful space is perfect for celebrating a special occasion. Pop-open a bottle of fizz and relax on the sofa as your dogs take a well-deserved snooze. When it’s time to rustle up a meal for everyone, head into the well-equipped kitchen and whip up a comforting supper for your group – just remember to put some doggy treats into a bowl too. Dig into your dinner at the large table or head outside to the private patio for an evening of alfresco dining. While you feast on a sumptuous spread, your pups can sniff around the garden and the fishing pond nearby. Treat yourself to an afternoon tea in Newtown, which is less than 3 miles from this idyllic property and offers visitors a lively high street to peruse. The ancient market town of Welshpool is 13 miles from the front door. While in the area, take a trip to the National Trust Powis Castle and Garden (2 miles from Welshpool) and admire their amazing collection of paintings, tapestries and furniture. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to explore the beautifully kept garden during the winter months.

This property caters for everyone. It was very clean and well maintained. Dane and Hannah were friendly and welcoming. I was surprised to see other guests fishing at 8am. I was unsure if the lake and grounds were open to everyone. A definite plus for everyone in our party. Will definitely be booking again. Loved it - the place was well laid out, enclosed area for the dogs and 4 really good sized bedrooms. Huge enclosed field for the dogs (bring towels if your dogs like water) which they loved. Pub up the road was unfortunately closed for refurb, but we ate at another place place approx 10-15mins away (The Nags Head) which was really good. BasicalRead morely, stop reading this and book it! We had a really enjoyable stay in this beautifully appointed and welcoming cottage. A combined kitchen diner meant it was inclusive and no one felt left out. The cottage is well placed for visiting mid Wales, with Offa's Dyke, the Source of the Severn and opportunities for many attractive and challenging walks. What a fabulous cottage within beautiful gardens and surroundings. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, all with ensuite . The cottage is absolutely superb, rustic feel to it and very tranquil in a rural location. We went as a group of 6 with 4 dogs, and had a great time. There is a gate straight into the huge garden, and the garden attaches to 2 more fields which we were allowed to use. The dogs were able to enjoy being off lead and running like mad! There is a small Read moreissue with flies, (understandable being a working farm) which we managed with fly strips and citronella candles. Superb - we will be back! :) Hide

Lovely quiet place to stay, There are all major shops 5 mile away but nothing in between so you need to be prepared but the kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils so you can make yourself dinners easy. We went with two families and travelled out daily, the places we found were around or above 1 hour drive then it was nice to get back to base foRead morer dinner or chippy tea or a BBQ. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the cottages beautuful location. Wow what a special holiday, my partners 30th and new years! The cottage was perfect! We were 6 adults, 3 children and 4 dogs, and all had our own spaces and felt catered for. 2 fields to exercise the dogs in safely, stair gate to keep kids and dogs downstairs safely. We stayed in the big house for my wife's "important" birthday and our two children, partners and grandchild. The house is immaculate and the setting is fantastic. The owner was helpful and showed us where we could take our dog to exercise. Highly recommended.

Warm welcome from the owners. Beautiful property, but a little tricky to find in the dark. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds. High quality towels and linen. Kitchen has everything you could want during your stay. Only suggestion would be a slightly bigger fridge, but you do have the benefit of a wine/ beer fridge. Booked this getaway last minute for a family gathering and birthday. The property really suited us as we took along elderly parents, one who isn't very mobile. The downstairs bedroom and wet room was ideal for them as well as the toilet being raised so we didn't need to add extra equipment which we usually do. We had the best holiday. The view over the garden and lake is superb; have so many photos of it all different dependent upon the light. A real home from home; our hosts were on hand if needed and the gift of freshly squeezed apple juice was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. We had lovely days out in Montgomery, Newtown and Welshpool, had a relaxing walRead morek along the canal and the gardens and tearooms at Gregynog Hall are a must. Everything you need for a short break or longer is there. Extremely comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, rooms bright and airy. A field for the dogs to have a run in. Pleasent grounds to wander and enjoy. Excellent take aways from Newtown that deliver. All in all, we had a fantastic family holiday and a relaxing week. Thank you.

Fantastic stay at the quarry! Beautiful grounds and home. Host was great and truly dog friendly, making sure there was an empty field free for the dogs to stretch their legs! Perfect location for exploring Wales with 4 legged friends. Cant wait to come back! Thanks for a great stay!
