Studded against a backdrop of rolling countryside with all the home comforts six humans and two hounds could need, this 19th-century farmhouse can be found on the cusp of Corwen. Adventure to your heart’s content by day and, by night, relax by the fire with Fido at your feet or slip outside to soak in the hot tub with a glass of wine in hand.

Exposed wooden beams, high ceilings and a magnificent open fireplace set the scene from the moment your pups scamper inside over the wooden floors. You’ll feel right at home relaxing in the lounge, or pad up the stairs and break open the board games at the table before tucking into a hearty meal prepared in the kitchen with its electric range-style cooker and other gadgets. In terms of entertainment, the utility room has a football table and there is a shower room for preparing for the hot tub. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms sleeping 7 people and a family bathroom with a freestanding bath for long soaks. Outside, the patio offers a serene spot to feast on BBQ delights whilst the children and pups play safely.

Sniff out the plethora of walks leading from your doorstep or hop in the car and venture further afield, strolling through the historic streets of Ruthin, 12 miles away, with its fascinating shops and architecture. The surrounding landscape is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that attracts walkers and cyclists of all abilities, but your waggy-tailed companion will have plenty of rabbits to sniff and sticks to chase. Llangollen is 9.5 miles away too with its Victorian Promenade and Riverside Park, and pretty Bala with its picturesque lake is just 12.5 miles away.

A lovely old farmhouse with a wonderful fireplace, which has been modernised to provide a really comfortable and relaxing place to unwind. It was spotlessly clean and the communication with the owner was great. Beautiful views across the valley, plenty to see and do round about.

Wow. Beautiful house in a beautiful location. There was nothing amiss. Never stayed anywhere that was so well equipped. Cosy, full of character and extremely comfortable, high end fixtures and fittings etc. Corwen is quaint, has a butchers, bakers, deli, pubs and cafes. Llangollen, nearest town, is gorgeous. I definitely recommend this cottage if you're looking for a peaceful and quiet location, the surroundings are simply stunning and offer lots of opportunities for walking. We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. We were 2 families with 3 children and a dog and found it spacious and comfortable. The kids had so much fun playing hide and seek with all the nooks and crannies. We especially enjoyed the hot tub after a long day exploring.

Very good, no complaints. Lovely place to stay. Easy walk into town, not as easy on way back (hill) but you stay there for the views. Clean and tidy.

A charming cottage in a lovely location. Would describe as characterful rather than luxury (think bare floorboards/staircase). Need to arrive well prepared, as no welcome pack or toiletries provided. No shaver socket in bathroom, so bring adapter. Beware if using open fire that flue flap has a habit of falling down, filling the room with smoke! We had such a wonderful week at Pentre Trewyn! There is lots of space, both inside and in the garden, which our children loved. The bedrooms and bathroom are also very spacious. The hot tub is lovely; it does require some time getting it heated up and looking after the fire, but its very nice!
