  • Beautifully converted chapel with large open-plan living space on the first floor
  • Wake up to panoramic sea views of the North Wales coast
  • Visit Barmouth with its charming harbour or Harlech with its iconic castle
Property code: OC-81281

The spectacular former chapel sleeps eight guests and three canine companions, making it ideal for a large family gathering or getaway with friends. Snowdonia has some fantastic woof-friendly beaches, including the golden sands of Barmouth, just 6 miles away. Alternatively, explore the local history with a potter around paw-friendly Harlech Castle, 5 miles from the property.

This ultra-chic converted chapel has a reverse-level layout, really making the most of the glorious coastal views. The property boasts high ceilings with beautiful exposed beams, gorgeous feature windows and luxurious underfloor heating. Whites and greys are offset with flashes of yellow to create a really modern decor. The stylish lounge/kitchen/diner is a vast open space, so there’s no danger of the doggies getting under your feet! The area is flooded with natural light and is the perfect space for entertaining. The enclosed garden is a few metres from the chapel and has a lovely lawn for the pups to play on, as well as outdoor furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining.

The dramatic grounds of the 13th-century castle at Harlech are well worth a wander. The hounds are welcome on leads, as well as on the terrace of the cafe, and the views over the Snowdonia coast are fabulous. Afterwards, take the short 0.5-mile stroll down to the beach, where four-legged visitors are welcome all year. Coed y Brenin (19.5 miles) makes a great family day out, especially on a hot day. Under the shady canopy of the forest, discover nine waymarked walking trails, as well as numerous mountain biking tracks and an awesome adventure playground. Furry friends are invited to refuel in the outdoor area of the cafe, where water bowls are also provided.

Beautiful house which our family of 5 adults plus two small dogs thoroughly enjoyed. With the huge, lounge, dining kitchen it allowed us all to participate when the evening dinner was being prepared (a bit like masterchef). Great fun! Owners gave us a friendly welcome message on arrival and had kindly left us some lovely Welsh goodies.

The Chapel was fabulous with an amazing kitchen and living area. Beds were super comfortable and even though you are on a main road it's not noticeable . Hosts checked to see if we were ok and were to hand if we needed them. We were super lucky with gorgeous weather and will hopefully return next year.
