Special occasions call for outstanding accommodation, and this majestic property is ideal for large groups seeking a luxurious setting for stylish celebrations in the Welsh countryside. Boasting five grand bedrooms and an array of rooms for entertaining, its perfectly suited for waggy-tailed visitors and up to 10 human companions. There’s open fires for cosy snoozing, lavish bathrooms for cleaning paws, and even a fantastic playroom to keep the children off your tail so you can concentrate on relaxing.

Bursting with period features, antique furniture and traditional accessories, the entire property is a treasure trove of delights from a TV disguised as a painting, to a downstairs bathroom laden with books. There’s something to surprise and delight at every turn, especially on the ground floor where you’ll find feather-stuffed sofas and a roaring open fire in the lounge, an impressive games room, and a kitchen/diner fit for a banquet. The playroom can be found up some stone steps, and an uneven character spiral/curved staircase lead up to the bedrooms. Spread across two levels, each bedroom is unique, whether you opt for the King Charles Room with its hidden en-suite and feature roll-top slipper bath, or the Nell Gwyn room that has a seductive four-poster bed and an adjoining bedroom. The remaining bedrooms are equally as gorgeous with mesmerising views of the surrounding countryside. Outside, the landscaped gardens have garden furniture, a BBQ, mini croquet and a fire pit for balmy summer evenings.

If you can tear yourself away, the handy location between the Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons National Park means you could soon be sniffing out a multitude of exciting walks. Explore the famous ‘three castles’ route from your doorstep, padding along various stretches of the 20-mile route and rewarding yourself with a slap-up meal at one of the local pubs.

  • 5 bedrooms across the cottage made up of 2 super-king zip-and-link bedrooms, 1 king-size four-poster bedroom, 1 single room with pretty brass bed, and 1 king-size sleigh bedroom
  • Property sleeps 8+2 (security deposit will increase to £500 when occupied with 10 persons)

  • A games rooms with snooker/pool table, Sonos sound system and Smart TV, and a children’s playroom with Wii provide two wonderful entertaining areas for the adults and little ones to enjoy themselves. Open fire in the sitting room and wood burner in the games room (a basket of logs provided for each).
  • Smart TV, AGA oven, separate double electric oven, gas hob, and a large fridge/freezer with water dispenser and icemaker, and 2 dishwashers. A 6-seater breakfast bar, and extendable 10-person dining table offer space for groups to socialise.
  • Catered and served dinner and drinks parties can be arranged with the owner.
  • There is a washing machine and a tumble dryer for your convenience.
  • 4 en-suite bathrooms all with showers over bath, 1 free-standing slipper bath in the ‘King Charles’ bedroom with en-suite shower and WC, separate WC on the ground floor.

  • Due to the traditional character of the cottage, the wooden spiral/curved stairs are not standard, they’re period of age and slightly uneven, and character sloped ceilings result in restricted head height upstairs.
  • Regret that there are no electric charging facilities at the property and will require you to charge at the nearest charging point during your stay.
  • Please note there is a refundable £300 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday

Beautifully renovated and furnished historic house. High quality fittings. 4 large bedrooms each with ensuite. Lovely private south facing garden. Fabulous little village with good pub. Fully recommend.

The Town Farm house is beautiful both because it is located in the stunning Brecon Beacons and because the house itself is steeped in history and has been updated to enhance its age and comfort. We were an extended family and enjoyed the variety of bedrooms and the fabulous baths! The village has a great pub, a beautiful church and a historic ruineRead mored castle on the doorstep. A beautifully maintained property in a brilliant and historic location. Nothing lacking in the facilities and equipment. Lovely views of the valley and conveniently located next to the friendly local pub which serves excellent food.
