This private, detached property will provide a calm and comfortable place to stay on your next trip to Presteigne. Here, you are perfectly located for sightseeing the region’s interesting heritage and gorgeous countryside alongside your two canine companions. It’s also a perfect choice for outdoor enthusiasts, as there are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as horse riding, cycling and walking.

This property boasts a blend of contemporary and traditional for that warm and homely feel. You’ll firstly step into a large kitchen/diner that exudes that country cottage ambience with its exposed beamed ceilings and a cosy wood burner. The spacious lounge also features a wood burner, you and your dogs can enjoy an afternoon nap cosied up around a crackling fire after a morning exploring the countryside. Walking up the spiral staircase, you’ll discover two charmingly decorated bedrooms; one of which is a king size and the other, a twin zip-and-link which can be made into a king upon request. One of the major wow-factors of the property is the fact that it’s set in 13.5 acres of land, with its own private patioed garden so your dogs are safe if they wander outside. We provide a secure garden, dog bowls, use of a hose for washing, towels for afterwards, a large dog crate, rugs for the sofas and miles of walking straight from the front door.

The city of Presteigne is just 3.5 miles away, so it’s up to you whether you take a relaxed stroll with the dogs or jump in the car for convenience. You may also like to visit some of the region’s famous historical attractions such as Ludlow Castle (22.7 miles) or Stokesay Castle (22.6 miles) and the stunning maintained gardens of Hampton Court (22.3 miles).

My wife loved it, the three dogs loved it, and I loved it! Truly what I wanted when I said I want a place to unwind. Everything was provided. Well equipped, well appointed, and extremely dog friendly. The hidden gem was direct access to the woods. During the hottest day of the year we were relaxing in the cool of the trees. We spent a very relaxing few days here. Cottage very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Some places are soulless but Badgers Drift felt loved. Peaceful rural location with great views and walks from the door. Loved meeting all the animals and our hosts were lovely too!! Would definitely return to this hidden gem.

We had a lovely stay in Badgers Rest, which is a comfortable, cosy and well-presented cottage. Sarah was very friendly and helpful with local information. There are many animals in the fields around, all in their own enclosures, plus two friendly dogs. We were very lucky to awake one day to find several inches of snow everywhere, which persisted alRead morel day. Cosy, comfortable and well equipped cottage on a lovely small holding. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. Great place for a quiet break, it was so peaceful and quiet. The dogs loved the garden, watching the Shetland ponies & the huge variety of walks from the door. Stunning hills and valleys and lots of birds and other wildlife to see. We wanted a quiet retreat in a beautiful setting and got what we wanted. Lovely accommodation, very spacious for what looks like a small property externally. We had another wonderful stay at the cottage with our 3 labradors. The cottage is well equipped with everything you would need and the welcome basket, eggs and milk is a fantastic touch. The garden is lovely spacious and safe for the dogs with an amazing view of George (I think) the lovely grey in the top field. This is an ideal location if you want a restful holiday in beautiful countryside. There was ample space for 3 of us and our dog to relax inside and outside the property with books and puzzles (provided by the hosts), all the while knowing our dog was safe as well. Really enjoyable and relaxing holiday. The best welsh countryside on your doorstep or a good base to explore further. Pure relaxation in a gorgeous cottage with everything you need. In summer there is a lovely garden, very dog proof (I have a very determined spaniel and he was secure), meet the goats, horses, chickens and more. We had a wonderful holiday at Badgers Drift, beautiful cottage, lovely setting & lovely owners. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay, loved trips to Ludlow, Croft Castle, Hay-on-Wye and a trip to a Break-its Neck waterfall ,however no water flowing! May be next time. We had added adventure of a baby starling that fell down fire place chimney and maRead morenaged to rescue it & released back outside -quite a feat with 3 lurchers in our family! Set in a lovely location, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay for one week. The accommodation met all our requirements, being spacious but homely with lovely views from the living room out to the garden and beyond. We are both lovers of nature and for us, the location was a great find. You really are spoilt by the surrounding scenery and walks in all diRead morerections, once outside the main entrance gate. Lovely holiday home in a beautiful spot. We got lucky with the weather and it was glorious all week, but would've had plenty to do inside and nearby in poor weather. Owners very helpful and friendly, recommended a brilliant local garage (Presteigne Tyres) when we had an issue with the car. Lots of great walks from the door, close to Offas Dyke pathRead more, follow it down to the river below Discoed for a paddle. Nice cottage, plenty of space, well equipped, comfortable and nice walks nearby. Good large kitchen. Internet is not great so would not recommend as a remote working location, but perfectly ok for just browsing. Water pressure quite weak which we struggled with.

Beautiful cottage and fantastic scenery, our 3 labs thoroughly enjoyed they're trip away and so did we. The cottage is very cosy and homely with everything you need. We loved seeing all the livestock on the farm which surrounded the cottage. Had super days out to Ludlow, hay-on-wye, Leominster to name a few. So much to see and do within the area anRead mored spectacular scenery. Presteign village are worth a visit and food in the Radnorshire Arms amazing with a lovely beer garden. Will definitely return! Fabulous cottage located in the beautiful peacefully Welsh countryside. The cottage was like home from home with everything you could possibly need, and well located to explore the Offas dyke trail and mid Wales. Thank you to our hosts for a lovely family holiday.
