Offering cosy accommodation for two guests, the elegantly updated and beautifully furnished property also has ample space for a pair of four-legged holidaymakers to join you for long rural treks through the area's glorious scenery. Making a great base for walkers, cyclists, nature spotters and pets eager to discover the region's quaint villages, peaceful valleys and lush woodlands, this characterful semi-detached bolthole features original wooden beams, a sweet enclosed garden and magnificent views.

Originally the farm's pigsty, this beautifully converted cottage is accessed via a single track lane. Inside, you will be greeted by the light-filled kitchen/diner, fully equipped and featuring a high vaulted ceiling and a charming central dining table. A few steps lead up into the cosy lounge with a wood burner effect electric fire, TV and comfortable seating. Heading upstairs you will find the bright and cheerful bedroom with a lovely king-size bed, wooden beams and an invigorating en-suite shower room. Stepping outside, the generous enclosed garden has a BBQ, patio and outdoor furniture offering a charming spot for dining alfresco and taking in the surrounding views while your pets rest in the shade. There's also a dog paddock shared with the neighbouring cottage. Bicycle storage is available, alongside off-road parking for one car.

The cottage lies in a tranquil and secluded spot to the north of Llandeilo (7.5 miles), a bustling market town situated along the outskirts of the magnificent Brecon Beacons. A wonderful spot for walking energetic pups, the property is within easy reach of pet-friendly attractions including the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Talley Woodlands and the National Trust's stunning Dienfwr Park, all within 18 miles.

Over the last few months we have stayed at both Cariad and Celyn cottages. Set in the hills of West Wales, overlooking the Black Mountain and on to the Brecon Beacons and the valleys below . This property has wonderful views over the Black Mountain and with the Brecon Beacons beyond. Ashley and Chris are perfect hosts and they pay great attention to your needs and that of your Furry friends who are most welcome. The cottage was exceptionally clean, not a cobweb in sight. The perfect cottage with the perfect view and absolutely fantastic hosts. Our little Willow was made to feel very welcome and got on so well with the owners dogs. A perfect home from home.

They really thought of everything in this cosy cottage and we received a very warm welcome. Ashlie and her family were the perfect hosts, so friendly and helpfull. And we also loved the dogs and sheep on the farm, as did our own dog. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay at Celyn Cottage. It was in the most idyllic setting, and you felt completely away from it all. This cottage is a great place to stay - the kitchen has everything we needed, the sitting room and bedroom were comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful, and the view was spectacular. The host was very friendly and helpful. I expect that we will come back to stay here again and will also recommend the cottage to our family/friends.

Fabulous cottage with amazing views, very quiet & relaxing. Very comfortable and spacious cottage with everything you need for your stay. Small ensuite but great shower and bed very comfy. Elan Valley an amazing place to visit as is Cenarth waterfall and a visit to the local village community run shop and pub in Cwmdu is a must.

This cottage is in a quiet location with fabulous views. We enjoyed visiting the National Botanical Garden for Wales, Aberglasney and Dinefwr, all of which are nearby. Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. I would recommend it to others.
