Set in the beautiful old town of Hastings in Sussex, this impressive house sleeps ten people across five bedrooms. Sure to set tails wagging, it is a real treat – not just for you, but your four-legged friend, too. While the humans chat over a glass of wine, Fido will be spoilt for choice between the sweet smells emerging from the cooker, the peace and quiet of the enclosed courtyard or the warmth of the wood burner. Just a short stroll from several dog-friendly pubs, dining out together is an easy option, too.

This pleasant property offers space, stylish decor and a boutique hotel feel, decorated with vibrant colours and carefully selected furniture. There is fabulous dining space for family get-togethers, a large kitchen and a charming courtyard for alfresco dining. The spacious lounge will accommodate the whole family as you come together to discuss your day of adventures.  With five lavish bedrooms to choose from, you’ll be racing up the stairs at the end of the day.

Just a short stroll will take you to the restaurants, antique shops, cafes and the award-winning Hastings Contemporary Art Gallery. After a gentle amble along the high street to the seafront, reward your four-legged friend with a run on the sandy beach. Stick to the west part though, where there are zero dog restrictions. Take a trip on the East Hill Funicular Railway (0.5 miles) and soak up the views from Hastings Country Park. Further afield, Herstmonceux Castle has an impressive dog-friendly policy throughout the estate (15 miles).

High on the Hill was in a great location. The views are spectacular. All rooms were uniquely decorated and there were lots of interesting arttifacts around the place. Beds were large and comfortable.

Lovely large house, perfect for a weekend catching up with a group of friends. Super close to the old town and East and West Hill. Taxis were easy to arrange to take us out to dinner at night if eating in St Leonards, otherwise we walked for a few mins into the Old Town. A really relaxing, spacious break.

Interesting house, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. You need to be good with stairs as its on many levels and up a steep hill. But close to the old town and sea front. Parking available further up the hill. Plenty of bathrooms for everyone and comfy beds.
