Set in a lush green valley, this luxurious farmhouse sleeps 10 guests and one family dog. Plan adventures right from your doorstep with ‘sniffable’ country paths, salty coastal adventures (9 miles), and forest fun for hounds (14 miles), and there’s a shop, pub, and formal gardens within walking distance (1 mile). The period property’s made for family reunions and foodie feasts with a well-equipped kitchen, huge dining table and stylish Welsh dresser, while the lounge and patio call for evening nightcaps. There’s ample parking too, just head up a few steps to the property entrance for the warmest of welcomes.

With five bedrooms, the bright spacious property has calming hues and incredible comfort at every turn from squishy sofas and warming wood burners to patio parasol dining and Welsh valley views from the pampering hot-tub. Fido will need a lead on this working farm, where you can wander country paths, or visit the National Trust’s Bodnant Garden (1 mile) where ‘Waggy Wednesdays’ welcome evening dog walks in high season (April to September), a dog’s delight with accessible trails for all, formal gardens, wild meadows and woodland to snuffle. In low season, the gardens are dog-friendly daily.

Head for the coast (9 miles), where Llandudno’s pristine beaches and headlands have family activities and designated dog areas. See Punch & Judy, follow the Alice in Wonderland trail, or marvel at Victorian engineering aboard the Great Orme Tramway. For cobbled street charms, let Fido lead you to Conwy walled market town (7 miles), a World Heritage Site with a medieval castle. More adventures can be found in the zip-wired treetops of Betws-y-Coed (14 miles), or Snowdonia National Park (18 miles), for hilltop hikes and relaxed family picnics, just remember to pack special pooch treats if you want to savour your sandwich.

Beautiful house in a lovely location. 10 of us and two dogs stayed for a weekend to celebrate a special family birthday. The house is well equipped with plenty of room in communal spaces. Everything seems to have been thought of to make a stay pleasurable. Mark, Jo and gang.

The house is amazing. Great location and the view, wow. When those hills are covered in snow it will be spectacular. We would love to visit this place again as it was a great base for chilling or exploring. On arrival there was bread, Prosecco and snacks waiting. A nice touch. Beautiful house, perfectly situated between zip worlds, castles, beaches and walks. We made good use of the outside space as the weather was glorious and the hot tub was brilliant after long walks. Any issues were immediately remedied by attentive hosts. Weve had a brilliant time.

50 Acres is far and away the best property we have ever stayed in. Every need seemed to be catered for. Better than many 5 star hotels. Lovely quiet countryside location yet only a ten minute drive from all the holiday attractions. We would love to stay again.
