A very comfortable, lovely cottage which makes a great base. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. We slept well, found the kitchen to be well-equipped and user-friendly, and we enjoyed relaxing in the sitting room with its comfy sofas and wood burner. The location is handy for coastal walks and nature reserves too. We hope to return.

We had a lovely week at Bishops retreat. The cottage has a small enclosed garden which is perfect for the dogs. We discovered the nice pub/restaurant down the road in Stanhoe: The Duck. The beaches nearby are amazing too. We have booked our next stay again for February 2027!

Bishops Retreat is a lovely, cosy, cottage with a large well equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room. WiFi is good. There is a log burner but the heating is so efficient we didnt use it. The beds are really comfortable and there is plenty of hot water. The outdoor space is secure and private. Parking is good. Entrance is at the back of the pRead moreroperty which is secluded. The front is on the main road through the village but the excellent double glazing means this is not an issue. Hide
